Lundin Links
Fine links fairways and excellent greens have ensured that it has been regularly selected as a final qualifying golf course for the Open Championship. Narrow fairways, bunkers, burns, and ever-changing winds guarantee a testing but rewarding golfing experience.
Leven Links Golf Club
Founded in 1820, this is Scottish links golf at its very best; several blind shots, numerous hazards and rolling fairways with unexpected bumps. The sea is visible form almost every hole, something which any true links course should encompass. The front nine is a test of your patience and fortitude while the back nine, especially the closing stretch of holes, requires careful course management and pinpoint accuracy.
The Golf House Club, Elie
The Golf House Club, Elie combines both charm and tradition, and provides golfers an honest examination of links golf. Visitors are always made to feel welcome, and Elie is one course to which they return year after year.
Anstruther Golf Club
Stretched along the shoreline between Pittenweem and Anstruther, the views are spectacular and the coastline adds to the complexity of the round with winds off the sea and bankings heading towards the beach.
Crail Golf Club
A combination of stunning coastal views, centuries of history and hugely enjoyable golf is what makes Balcomie Links one of Scotland’s most finely polished, golfing gems.
With spectacular views - the sea is visible from every hole - Craighead Links achieved fame in the 2001 Guiness Book of Records for the most nationalities playing in an international tournament.
Kingsbarns Golf Course
Regarded as one of the finest additions to Scottish links golf in recent years, Kingsbarns is home to dramatic sea views on every hole and is as good a links as they come. The par-72 course, a mammoth 7,126 yards from its championship tees, has wide open fairways that roll over undulating ridges and hollows and expansive greens.
St Andrews Golf
St Andrews Links is the most renowned golfing landscape in the world. It is the Home of Golf, the place where the game began and has been developed and nurtured over six centuries. At the heart of the Links, is the Old Course but it has five 18 hole courses and a nine hole course alongside it. These are all public courses and with the seventh course, The Castle Course, on a site to the south east of St Andrews, comprise the largest public golf complex in Europe. The Old Course is unrivalled for its history and prestige, the New and Jubilee offer true links challenges as does the Eden with a slightly lower yardage. The Strathyrum and Balgove are suitable for more relaxed rounds or beginners and families. And The Castle Course offers a new challenge, a Links-like course perched on the cliffs overlooking St Andrews.
