Modern two storey property with holiday letting licence in beautiful residential area. Air-conditioning, Sky TV, DVD player, stereo. Alvor has everything you need for a successful holiday. Restaurants, golf courses, shops, small family run supermarkets where produce is cheap and many bars. There is also a leisure centre with a 30m indoor pool, tennis courts, squash court and football pitch.

 

Accommodation

Bedrooms: Bedroom 1 with double bed, spacious fitted wardrobe in entrance hall, French windows opening onto balcony, air con.
Bedroom 2 with twin beds, air con, French windows opening onto balcony. Pull out divan in front room makes 2 large single beds, air con.

Bathrooms: En suite bathroom to bedroom 1 incorporates bath, toilet, bidet, shower and washbasin. En suite bathroom to bedroom 2 includes shower, wc and washbasin.

Kitchen: Fully fitted modern kitchen with French windows opening out onto large balcony with garden furniture. Electric oven, gas hob, fridge, washing machine, microwave, serving hatch to front room.

Living Rooms: Lounge-cum-dining room (though most people prefer to dine on balcony). Pull out sofabed which makes 2 large single beds, Sky TV, DVD player, air con, stereo, dining table to seat 6.

Other: Downstairs toilet to right of entrance hall with washbasin.

Cleaning/towels/maid service: Towels and linen provided, but please don't take our towels down the beach. Most of our tenants like to maintain their privacy and do their own cleaning and bed changing. My wife however is prepared to act as maid on a daily basis if required.

 

The property is perfect for family holidays or groups. The French windows can be locked from the inside and there are blinds that can be lowered on the balconies. I suppose a determined child with suicidal tendencies could climb over the balcony railings were the blinds up and the windows left open.   Our prices start from £375 per week, winter prices (Oct - March) are cheaper and negotiable depending on length of stay. These properties are residential and set in their own grounds. There are sun beds available round the pool which is set in beautiful landscaped surroundings. There are gardeners who come twice weekly, pool maintenance men and an outside cleaner. During the summer the gardens are a riot of colour. The pool is kidney shaped and ideal to cool off, but it is hardly an exercise pool. This is shared by all the residents, but the majority of the apartments are second homes for business people who only come once a year for holidays. Only 4 of the 14 apartments have permanent tenants.

 

Coast/Beach
Beach is approximately 1 kilometre from the house. To reach it you have to walk through the village which is extremely pleasant. Stop and have a spot of breakfast en route. The beach is probably 5km long. At the eastern end there are amazing coves, caves and rock formations while the rest of it runs away westwards in eye dazzling expanse of white sand. Dotted along the beach there are little restaurants to be enjoyed.

Alto Golf Club

This is legendary golf course - is the last designed by architect Sir Henry Cottons, features the 600 meter par 5 known as the "Sir Henry challenge", and what a challenge it is! Located on the edge of the picturesque fishing village of Alvor, the rolling fairways and elevated greens test all and reward anyone who enjoys thinking about their game

 

Penina Golf Resort

Sir Henry Cotton Championship Golf Course Previously The Penina, but known as the Sir Henry Cotton Championship Course, the main 18 holes provide the most demanding test of a player’s skills in the Algarve, if not in Portugal. With the inevitable difficulty that a flat landscaping and terrain creates with club selection, the holes are crossed and flanked by a series of streams, ditches and water hazards, demanding precisely executed shots to avoid trouble and achieve par. The course is beautifully maintained, winding past tall stands of eucalyptus and clumps of palm to mainly elevated greens which have subtle slopes and sometimes treacherous speeds

9 Holes Courses Other than the famous 18 hole, Sir Henry Cotton Championship Course, the resort has two 9 hole courses within the property: the Resort Course and the Academy Course.

 

Morgado golf Course

Lying to the north of Portimão it is laid out in a large 980 hectare estate through undulating small valleys. The immediate main characteristic factor is its large greens which place demand on good putting skills. Also, the accuracy of the player's shot will be questioned by deep aggressive bunkers.

Alamos Golf Course

CS Alamos is the sister course of CS Morgado Golf, located North of the CS Morgado do Reguengo Resort, north of Portimão. The Alamos golf course is characterised by two large lakes and great views of the Monchique mountains, over the water reservoir and the vineyard, showing the peaceful inner Algarve.
