Cheriton Bishop is located at the northern edge of Dartmoor, close by the main A30 route through Devon. Dartmoor is perfect for outdoor pursuits such as riding, golfing, walking, fishing and climbing or for many, simply to wander enjoying the wonderful wildlife. The famous Dartmoor ponies are thought to be descended from domesticated stock turned out to graze on the moor as early as the Iron Age. The history of the place can be seen everywhere you look, not just in the beautiful old buildings found nestled across the moor and packed into every village, but in the numerous standing stones, that form ancient circles, boundary markers and hut circles.
Lewdon Farm Cottages - Amber and Citrine
These two charming converted cottages are set in a peaceful, secluded spot close to the village of Cheriton Bishop on the edge of Dartmoor and enjoy panoramic countryside views. Both cottages are near, but not overlooked by the owner's farmhouse, and each have their own gardens and parking areas. Spacious and attractive, they provide very comfortable, modern accommodation in this very peaceful location. The properties are 12 miles west of Exeter and just five minutes from the A30 giving great access to the whole of the West Country. A charming, well equipped recreation area, with large trampoline, swings and toys is provided. Come here too, to be cosseted and totally relax, for within the grounds of Lewdon Farm is a special yoga room, two treatment rooms, steam room and hot tub cabin . All these facilities are available to guests by arrangement with the owners and for an additional charge. Add aromatherapy massage, reflexology or Indian head massage and you have 'Baobab' at Lewdon Farm.

A spacious converted barn, attached on one side to a small residential cottage. Entrance hall with washing machine/tumble dryer and small freezer. Cloakroom with basin and WC. Well equipped bright, pine kitchen with electric cooker, microwave and fridge. Spacious attractive living room with beams, wood burner and comfortable sofa and chairs, TV with video, dining table to seat 6 and French door to the garden. Upstairs are 3 bedrooms. A small bedroom with 4ft 6in bed and en-suite shower room with electric shower, basin and WC. A further double bedroom with 5ft bed and a twin room with 3ft beds. Family bathroom with bath, shower, basin and WC.
Citrine Accommodation:
A comfortable, detached cottage with lots of knotted beams and attractive window views. Entrance hall with lots of room for coats and Wellingtons. Door into polished wood floored living room with chintz covered sofa and chairs, TV/video, a wood burner, dining table to seat 6 and dresser well stocked with books, videos and games. Arch to inner hall. Well-equipped kitchen with fridge/freezer, electric hob and oven, washer/dryer, dishwasher and microwave. Pretty ground floor twin bedroom with 3ft beds and pine furniture. Adjacent shower room with electric shower, basin and WC. Wood stairs to two double bedrooms both have attractive 4ft 6in beds and unusual angled ceiling beams. Bathroom with bath, shower over, basin and WC.
Higher Eggbeer Farm Sleeps 6
For a thousand years Eggbeer has nestled here, mentioned in the Domesday book it is steeped in history, a timeless world of mellow barns, rambling lawns and paddocks. This lovely thatched medieval farmhouse , divided into two, is perched on its own in Dartmoor National Park, surrounded by farmland and with glorious views towards the Teign Valley and Dartmoor . The farmhouse is full of books, ancient oak beams and inglenook fireplaces. Teign Valley Golf Club
The 18 hole course, just on 6000 yards (par 70) is fast-draining and provides excellent all year round playability with ample availability of buggies in the summer. First and tenth tees are close by the clubhouse, creating maximum flexibility at peak times and often making 9 or 27 holes a tempting option!
Waterbridge Golf Club
The Course is set in twenty-four acres of beautiful Devon countryside. It comprises of five par threes, three par fours and one par five. There is a fee reduction for playing an additional nine holes from separate markers.
