About Us

For the past six generations my family has spent most of the summer at this house; this is the place you leave from and come back to, the place you come to in order to feel refreshed, revived, reinvigorated and where you can catch up with everyone in the shade of the gardens' centuries old trees.

 

Nowadays the house sees the passing of the seasons and I am glad to be able to treat my guests to the same atmosphere of elegant sobriety, natural reserve and precious, but never flaunted, details I was brought up with from childhood. Villa Cavadini Relais is a rather "special" Bed & Breakfast near Como, a B&B full of charm where the all important first meal of the day is served with fresh bread and homemade jams, just like the one Aurelia used to give us as children. Strategically located close to all the 3 major northern lakes of Como, Lugano and Maggiore, 35 km from Milan and 20 km from Milan's new Exhibition Centre in Rho, a few minutes from the “La Pinetina” Golf Club and 2 minutes from the “Le Betulle” Private Hospital, this peaceful oasis is the perfect place to go to to relax, recharge your batteries and start the new day with renewed energy, be it for work, tourism or leisure.

 

Our services

Elisabetta speaks fluent English, French and German and is happy to welcome into her home all foreign Guests who choose the Villa for their stay.

The bedrooms are all fully equipped with private bathroom, air conditioning, TV, Wireless Internet Access, Mini Bar and can all be reach by elevator.

Breakfast, which is included in the price, is served from 8:00 onwards in a lovely frescoed room with fireplace overlooking the park. Guests needing breakfast earlier just need to give us sufficient notice and we’ll be happy to accommodate them.

From May to September Guests will be welcome to stay in the Veranda or drink a nice glass of perfectly chilled Prosecco under the walnut tree in front of the House.

Bicycles are at the Guests’ disposal for anyone wanting to explore the beautiful chestnut and oak woods surrounding Appiano Gentile or maybe even cycle to the “La Pinetina” Sports Club where tennis courts and an Olympic-size swimming pool are encircled by rolling green hills and ancient woods.

 

A shuttle service can be organized, by prior arrangement, to and from Saronno Railway Station where the Malpensa Express Train Service between Malpensa International Airport and Milan makes a scheduled stop in both directions.

 

BUSINESS
We can host small and very confidential business meetings which can be complimented by a high class catering refined in both service and the personalised choice of dishes superbly prepared by our chefs.

 

GOLF & FOOD PACKAGES
We are in the process of organizing exclusive packages for our Golfer Guests. These would include Green Fees, lunch in the refined Golf Club Restaurant of some the best Clubs in the area, such as Pinetina Golf Club, Monticello Golf Club and Carimate Golf Club, three dinners in the superb and deservedly renowned local Restaurants and a Tour of Lake Como from the water. The Golf Clubs

Golf enthusiasts will find Villa Cavadini Relais the ideal base from which to start discovering some of the most beautiful golf courses in Lombardy:
the La Pinetina Golf Club, surrounded by the lush green parks and woods of Appiano Gentile and only 5 km from the Villa the Monticello Golf Club and, last but by no means least, the Carimate Golf Club.

The Menaggio Golf Club near Como can also offer the perfect pretext for a little cruise around the lake, the best way to drink in the landscape and admire the patrician villas dotting the coastline like precious gems.

 

We are in the process of organising exclusive packages for our Golf enthusiasts. Guests which will include Green Fees, Lunch at the Club House Restaurants, three dinners in some of the best restaurants in the area and a tour of Lake Como.

 

The Lakes

Villa Cavadini - b&b Como - is strategically positioned close to three lakes of extraordinary beauty: the lakes of Como, Lugano and Maggiore.

 

Their magical splendour was such that the lakes have, down the centuries, attracted the most illustrious names of Lombardy’s Society together with many personalities from further a field who chose one of these lakes to build their patrician villas. Here, lulled by the serenity of the local mild climate, they spent the happiest hours of their lives.

 

We can, by prior arrangement, organize one day excursions where guests will not only get to know the lakes and their peculiar beauty, but will also have lunch in the more fashionable local restaurants, in the most suggestive little inn, called “locanda” or even on board one of the typical steamboats which criss-cross the lakes daily in cruise-like style offering the best waterside views of the villas, the panorama and the islands.
