Tranquil cottage on private grounds of approximately 3.5 acres with beautiful views over Dungarvan Bay and Helvic Head.

The Wild Geese is located adjacent to the owner's residence on private grounds of approximately 3.5 acres of landscaped gardens, about 5 km from the town of Dungarvan. Guests are free to enjoy the serenity of the gardens at any time.

There are beautiful views over the valley, the bay of Dungarvan, the Drum Hills and Helvic Head.

Getting here is easy by ferry or plane, Dungarvan is only 95 km from Cork Airport (about 1.5 hours driving) and 125 km from Rosslare ferryport (about 2 hours driving).

Dungarvan has three 18 hole golfcourses, a tennis club and fishing trips can be arranged (in season) from the harbour.

There are many beautiful beaches within easy reach with Clonea strand only 2 km away and the well known beaches of the Ardmore area within 20 minutes drive.

Walking is also a very attractive passtime and the Comeragh mountains are readily accessible with many beautiful lakes hiding in their 'coums' and the Knockmealdown and Galtee ranges within easy reach.

Built in 1990 to modern standards the cottage is well insulated and has double glazed windows, so is very comfortable at any time of the year. Full gas-fired central heating is installed along with a cosy open fire in the living room. All heating is included in the cost, and high quality bed linen and towels for your personal use and for the kitchen, are provided free of charge.

The living room has an open fire place with comfortable chairs, television and radio. The dining area and kitchen provide all you will need for your stay with a full electric cooker and a fridge.

The bedroom has twin beds of Spanish oak and the bathroom is adjacent.

Rates : €400 per week.
