Thorpewood Cottages, Cottage rental near Sheringham Golf Course and Royal Cromer Golf Course, Norfolk, England
Thorpewood Cottages, Cottage rental near Sheringham Golf Course and Royal Cromer golf course and caravan park providing accommodation for golf breaks in Norfolk and golf holidays in England.
Once forming part of the historic Gunton Hall Estate, the grounds of Nursery Farm include eight acres of woodland that visitors are free to explore. The owners live in the grade two listed brick and flint thatched farmhouse close to the cottages. Each cottage has its own terraced garden area, perfect for relaxing on a warm summer evening.
This delightful corner of rural Norfolk is only five miles from the traditional seaside town of Cromer, famous for its delicious crabs and the end of the pier shows. Also within easy reach are the Norfolk Broads, the fascinating network of waterways where day boats are available for hire.
The area is ideal for cycling with many designated ‘quiet lanes’. Close by is a cycle track along a disused railway line that gives a unique opportunity to explore unspoilt Norfolk with its abundance of wildlife. The more ambitious cyclist may like to attempt the full route into Norwich.
Easily accessible too, are the picturesque villages of the North Norfolk coast, much loved by sailors and offering a number of RSPB reserves, lovely coastal footpath walks and seal-watching trips. Good fishing and a choice of golf courses can be found within 5 miles.
Norfolk is very rich in terms of heritage with several National Trust properties to visit including nearby Felbrigg Hall and Blickling Hall.

Sheringham Golf Course
Set on the cliffs in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty Sheringham Golf Course remains one of the most picturesque in the region - the view from the 5th tee is one of the most memorable in golf! The course is set on a strip of rolling, gorse-clad clifftop that lies between the preserved North Norfolk Railway and the North Sea. Sheringham is a challenging course for all golfers at all times of the year .
Royal Cromer Golf Course
It is a great cliff top Links style course and from every hole at some point the sea comes into view. One of its many endearing and for some frustrating features is that it rarely plays the same from morning to afternoon. It is also a great course to play in wintertime, and because of it great drainage very rarely has more than one or two temporary greens in the worst of weather conditions.
