Les Chaufourniers is open all year round.

Florence et Dominique welcome to their 19th century farm house, which they have entirely renovated, in delightful calm surroundings, just 9 km from Bayeux and 12 km from the sea.

You will be enchanted by the warm tones and comfort of the four guest rooms, with evocative names that reflect the owners' passion for travel. The two large gites (holiday rental homes) have been developed from the original out-buildings and equipped with all modern conveniences..

After a day of sight-seeing you will have the opportunity to sample fine regional cooking at our "table d'hôtes", where all guests can dine together in a relaxed ambience.

A perfect a way to start the day : breakfasts in the garden with the smell of freshly cut grass, or in our dining room.Enjoy a delicious breakfast, with a choice of home-made preserves, a variety of different breads and pastries, accompanied by tasty delicacies, prepared specially by Florence.

Traditional French cakes, "quatre-quart", gâteau au yaourt - made with yoghurt, amongst others ... Very tempting !

At our "table d'hôte", by reservation only, you will be able to sample the fabulous cuisine from Normandy, with dishes prepared using fine traditional produce and local specialities.

The Gites:
L' ECURIE- The Stable - Sleeps seven:
Large dining room, with place for 12 (allows families using both gites to eat together).and an open kitchen. Fully equipped with fridge freezer, electric oven, microwave, ceramic hotplate, dishwasher, washing machine.  Large living room with open fireplace, sofas, arm chairs, television and board games.

Outside:  Large wooden, south facing terrace, private garden equipped with garden furniture and a parasol : Barbecue : Access to the orchard where there are outdoor toys for children and two special areas to play 'boules' : Parking spaces

L' ETABLE  - sleeps 4
Lounge dining room, with open fireplace, sofa, armchair, television and board games. Open kitchen fully equipped with fridge freezer, electric oven, microwave, ceramic hotplate, dishwasher, washing machine

Golf at Omaha Beach Golf Club - 11 kms
Omaha Beach Golf, already internationally known for its current technically challenging course, opens a second new one, “The Manor Course”, which promises to be sensational. This year you can now discover two 18 holed courses at Omaha Beach When designing the new Manor course, Yves Bureau wished to offer breathtaking views of the Bessin countryside. This course will delight even the most demanding golfers among you with its moved back tees, interesting angles and curves and especially challenging greens.
