The course was designed by Hawtree & Sons and Capart (1991). The result is a thrilling ride on a rollercoaster of golf that will have you lost for words and gasping in wonder! It seems almost impossible to have a golf course here, and yet the course offers a tough and magical challenge for anyone who wants golf that thrills and delights and yet is a brilliant challenge for all levels of golfers. Though above the 30 handicap could have a nightmarish time on this course!
From the very 1st which has you sitting up about 30 m above the fairway far below and trees lining the fairway, this is your welcome to Durbuy, you will be fascinated by every turn that this course makes. If there is one complaint about Durbuy it must be the lack of strategic bunkering around greens and in the landing zones, yet this does not make the game less challenging. Water and trees are omnipresent on this course making things hard enough without the extra presence of many bunkers.
