Bed and Breakfast accommodation in a quiet, elevated area with excellent views to the Atlantic Coastline, the Cliffs Of Moher and the Aran Islands!

Sea Crest is an ideal stop-over B&B with excellent views of the sea, the Clare coast, Mutton Island and the Cliffs of Moher. On clear days you can even see Galway and Connemara! One can enjoy quiet peaceful walks and of course golfers can enjoy a game of golf in closeby Spanish Point, Lahinch or at Doonbeg Golf Links, which is just a 10-minutes drive away. The west coast of Clare offers plenty of other activities and sights.

Rooms
We have ensuite double, twin and family-bedrooms, all fitted with hairdryers, Tea-/Coffee-making facilities and Colour TV.All rooms are newly furnished with country pine furniture and wooden floors.

The spacious breakfast room has TV and an open fire-place. We offer separate arrangements - e.g. room without breakfast too!

Your host Angela Morrisey and her family will welcome you with a warm cup of tea or coffee. Enjoy freshly made scones, which will also be offered for breakfast!

Orange juice , fresh fruit & yoghurts, selection of cereals, full Irish breakfast: bacon, egg, sausage, black & white pudding, tomato
or scrambled/poached egg & tomato, homemade brown bread, scones, toast

Sea Crest is a fully working dairy farm - so there are plenty of animals around! Children will especially enjoy Lizzy the donkey and our rabbits!

Our guests usually really enjoy the goings-on around the farm.
Car parking is not a problem as it is very safe and quiet off the main route. There's a shed available for motorbikes and your bicycles
On fine days guests like to sit outside and enjoy our fine flower garden with a beautiful view over the West Clare Countryside to the Atlantic Ocean and the Cliffs of Moher, relax in our sun room, or take a stroll down the farm.

Location
Sea Crest is ideally situated in a quiet elevated location near Quilty and 1 km off the N67 coastal route from Killimer Car Ferry to Lahinch, the Cliffs of Moher, Doolin and the Burren. We are only a 5-minutes drive from Spanish Point and Miltown Malbay - famous for it's Willie Clancy Traditional Music Summer School in early July each year. We are fortunate to be surrounded by relaxing restaurants course there is no shortage of entertainment in ou r local pubs.

Sightseeing:  We're very central to all the sight along the West Coast of Clare from the Burren limestone mountains and the Cliffs of Moher with the new visitor centre "Moher Experience" in the North to the widely unknown but spectacular rugged coast line of Loop Head Peninsula, also one of the best Irish spots for bird and whale watching!

Walking, Cycling, Riding:  The quiet country roads of West Clare invite for hiking and bicycling! And Doughmore Strand is just 10 min. away - just beautiful for walking and riding. West Clare has a number of equestrian centres!

Swimming & Surfing:  Spanish Point Beach with its high waves rolling in from the Atlantic is a favourite spots for surfers from all over the world, as are the beaches of Lahinch and Doughmore ! Swimming is possible on several beaches in the area closeby - some of them awarded with the European Blue Flag - Quilty, Spanish Point, Miltown Malbay and Lahinch are all within 15 mins from the house.

Fishing:  The area has a lot to offer for the angler! Rivers and lakes are well stocked. Rock fishing is possible all along the Atlantic coast line. Pier fishing is popular at Quilty pier. Boats for sea fishing can be hired locally.

Traditional Music:  This is the heart of Traditional Music in Clare! The Pubs in the area regularly have traditional music sessions, and the traditional music festivals in Kilrush and Miltown Malbay attract many music enthusiasts each summer

Golfing:  Doonbeg Golf Links Course is just 10 mins. and Spanish Point 5 Mins. away! But there are more golf courses for all tastes just around the corner, from Kilrush and Kilkee in the South Lahinch in the North!

Doonbeg Golf Course
Doonbeg Golf Club, designed by two-time British Open champion Greg Norman, is situated on a truly remarkable site near the tiny parish of Doonbeg in County Clare, Ireland. The course, a true links that will test a golfer's skill and mettle, has won accolades from golfers and media worldwide

This mature golf course provides difficulties which demand accuracy from the golfer. It overlooks the beach at Spanish Point, offering fine views but also strong Atlantic winds especially at the 6th par 3. It presents a stern challenge to all categories of handicap golfers, but is an enjoyable golfing experience

Kilkee Golf Course
The views in Kilkee are breathtaking, with first and second tees looking out onto the Atlantic Ocean and the third Tee overlooking Chimney Bay with a spectacular clifftop view. 20 minute drive

Lahinch Golf Club
What strikes you most about the tiny seaside village amid the spectacular scenery of West Clare is that everyone is consciously aware of the historical importance of golf. The special atmosphere manifests itself as you stroll around meeting the local people, whether in their tweed and souvenir shops or in the pubs, playing their traditional music. 15 minute drive
