Golf nearby:
Bude and North Cornwall
The 69 par links golf course, is one of the oldest town links courses in England. It is always in good condition and the greens will be a challenge for you all! You are always guaranteed a warm, friendly welcome.
Trevose Golf Club
The Championship course has various amounts of difficulty that will appeal to all players from the professional to the high handicapper. The Course has four sets of tees. The wind on all the Trevose courses can often play a major part and prevent low scoring . There are many well positioned bunkers and a stream follows much of the Course. There is also a 9 hole course and short 9 hole course.
St Enodoc Golf Course
St Enodoc has one of the finest links golf courses in the South West of England with undulating fairways, firm greens, some blind shots and all with the added bonus of some of the greatest sea and estuary views on any course in the world. With its hilly terrain no two holes are the same; it may not be long by today's standards but it is tight with punishing rough and so requires courage and accuracy to cope with some of the problems posed.
Bowood Park Golf Club
The par 72 course runs to 6,692 yards for the men, 5,700 for the ladies and is set up in a way which should maximise enjoyment for all standards of golfer. The well-drained greens, built to USGA standards, means the course rarely closes in inclement weather, and in winter tees and greens are in full use - no temporaries.
Westward Ho Golf Course
Royal North Devon at Westward Ho! can rightly claim to be the cradle of English Golf. Founded in 1864, it is the oldest golf course in the country and is regarded as the St Andrews of England. The golf course is as tough as any of the UK’s better-known links and is ranked at number 61 in Golf Monthly’s Top 120 Course Rankings and it also features in Golf World’s Top 100 courses in the world that every golfer “must play”
Saunton Sands Golf Club
East Course: Herbert Fowler's East Course is ranked just outside England's top ten, and at 6,700 yards it provides a stern test to even the most skilled golfers. The rugged sand dunes of Braunton Burrows are the setting for this fine golfing destination.
West Course: The West may be shorter than the more prestigious East Course, but it remains a considerable test, with a network of burns and streams interspersed through the dunes. Both courses are reputed to boast some of the finest putting surfaces in England, and together they represent a truly terrific links golf destination.
