POOL AND BEACH ACCESS
The hotel offers private access to Falésia beach with its warm, inviting waters. On top of the ochre cliff you can enjoy some lengths in the hotel's outdoor pool surrounded by the scent of the garden and the relaxing hum of the bumble bees which live around the umbrella pines typical of the Algarve.

GOLF:

Salgados Golf Course Albufeira
The course, a 6080 meters links with many water hazards requires much skill in the approach to the greens, the drive is also essential to achieve good results, making the course pleasant especially for skilled golfers.

Sheraton Pines Cliff Albufeira
This is a 9 hole course was designed by Martin Hawtree and is well maintained and surrounded by pine trees. It is a par 33 course which opened in 1991 with length white 2.274m, length yellow 2.051m and length red 1.784m.

There are six main golf courses in Vilamoura, The Old Course, Pinhal, Laguna, Millenium and Victoria Clube de Golfe.

The Old Course
The Old Course at Vilamoura is a par-73 course that is set within a rich green landscape. Previously the course hosted the Portuguese open and has recently undergone some redesigning in order to bring it up to scratch with the best courses in Europe.

Pinhal Golf Course Vilamoura
The Pinhal course at Vilamoura is set within a magnificant Pine Forest with superb views over the sea. On the whole the greens on this course are smaller than normal and as a consquence of this the course requires a fair degree of precieion from players.

Laguna Golf Course Vilamoura
This course was designed by Joseph Lee and was constructed on wet, marshy land that is quite close to the sea. It first opened it's doors in 1990 and is made up of three nine hole loops. The 27 holes are spread out to the north, south and east.
The total length of the course is 6133m and each of the nine holes are a par 36.

Victoria Golf Course Vilamoura
This is the longest golf course in Portugal and is the one that has been choosen by the PGA to host this years (2005) World Cup Champoinships. In order to make things a little easier for golfers odf all abilities each hole on the course has five different tees.  The course was designed by Arnold Palmer and only opened it's doors in 1994. It is a Par 72 course witha length of 6560m.

Millenium Golf Course Vilamoura
The Millenium Course at Vilamoura is a new course that opened up in May 2000. Its a shortish open course built in a fairly heavily wooded area with narrow fairways and a wonderful landscape that is enriched by lakes that are on the 4th, 17th and 18th holes. The course is Par 72 course and is 5784m in length.

Vilasol Golf Course Vilamoura
This course has a glittering history and in 1992 and 1993 it hosted the Portuguese Open. Although the course was only opened in 1991 it has matured nicely and perhaps this is in part a reflection of the courses designer, Donald Steel.
