Villa Sol is set in its own grounds just 2kms outside the town of Calasparra in the Murcia region of Spain, and only a 5 minute journey to the beautiful village of Valentin. 

Whether on a short term holiday, or looking for a longer term stay - Villa Sol is an ideal base for your time in Spain. 

The rental chalet has two bedrooms which sleep 4 people, with kitchenette, dining/lounge, shower room and entrance lobby.

All linen and towels are provided, together with a welcome pack. The Chalet opens out onto your own exclusive 6x4 metre pool with patio area. There are two garden areas ideal for lazing in the glorious Spanish sun - sun loungers are supplied ready and waiting!

The lower garden over looks the old Calasparra River now with Olive and Almond trees growing. 

Breakfast and/or evening meals are also available. 

Within the Villa itself an ensuite double room is available on a bed and breakfast basis.

 

Villa Sol is located in a quiet area just outside of the town of Calasparra, along the carretera de Valentin. Calasparra can be easily reached with an hour's drive from San Javier & Alicante airports. 

The town has a population of about 10,000 and is famous for its rice crops, as well as its outstanding beauty. In the evening there are many bars and cafes must of which have typically Spanish Tapas selection and doing a "Tapas run" is highly recommended. 

The impressive and awe-inspiring "sanctuary of the virgin Esperanza" is on the outskirts of the town and is a must visit attraction. From March to October there are many fiestas not only in Calasparra but also in the nearby towns such as Valentin, Moratalla, Bullas and Caravaca. 

The Murcia region has many golf courses, booking and transport can be arranged in advance of your holiday. The area around Calasparra has some of the best walking routes in Spain and the views from these walks can be breath taking. If you prefer mountain bikes can be hired direct from Villa Sol.
 

Calasparra is a quaint town in Murcia that needs to be explored, and has kept it's Spanish identity. There are breathtaking mountain views to be enjoyed and it is ideally situated to be the base for exploring the surrounding areas. The river Segura is close by, providing the ability for water rafting and fishing.Calasparra is a place where many sports can be enjoyed, including river rafting, rock climbing, hiking, cycling and fishing and, of course, golf.

Golf Altorreal

Situated in the hills above the city of Murcia, Altorreal is a semi-private 18 hole, Dave Thomas designed championship golf course. It is notable for it's strategic use of water, which comes into play particularly on the 9th and 18th holes. A challenging course for players of all abilities.

With 27 championship holes, you can play three separate 18 hole, par 72 courses. There is also a nine-hole par 3 Challenge Course, set up for competitions held by the Federation. The terrain is varied throughout, with thousands of palm trees, stone river beds, some wild terrain, a links course, olive trees and pine trees.
