Comfort Wood Cottage Sleeps 8
Comfort Wood Cottage is a newly renovated, former barn adjoining Newton Farm. The Cottage enjoys a delightful, rural outlook and its own private garden. Walking directly from the property visitors can enjoy numerous walks through the idyllic, adjoining woods which lead to the beautiful Tudor Cotehele House, gardens and 1,200 acre estate, all owned by the National Trust and open to the public. In another direction, a gentle walk across fields leads to the picturesque village of Metherell where an excellent local pub can be found serving good food. 

Accommodation: Ground Floor: Terracotta floor tiles throughout. Entrance into kitchen/dining room from parking area. Kitchen, generous number of fitted cupboard units with reclaimed solid teak worktops, electric hob, double oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, large table with seating for 8. Open plan living room, exposed beams, woodburner, corner sofa, 3 seater sofa, 25in flatscreen TV with Freeview/DVD/video and double glass doors that open out to the garden. Door to downstairs bathroom with bath, overhead power shower, basin, WC, shelving and cupboard space. Further door into third bedroom with 3ft twin beds and two 3ft pullout beds below. Outside: Private enclosed garden with large level lawn, garden table & chairs, barbecue and stream running through the bottom of the garden (toddlers may need supervision). Direct access to several footpaths including Comfort woods and the Cotehele Estate. Bicycles and canoes available by prior request, for use at own risk.

Kingslea Sleeps 2
Kingslea is a charming cottage for two, attached on one side, with far reaching countryside views and close to the beautiful Tamar valley, an area of outstanding natural beauty.

Accommodation : Two steps up to the front door into the hallway. Sitting/dining room, with dining table to seat 2, comfortable 2-seater sofa and armchair, electric flame effect fire, TV/DVD with Freeview and sliding patio door out to the garden. Lovely far reaching views. Fitted kitchen equipped with electric oven and 4 ring hob, dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer. Attractive bedroom with garden views, 4ft 6in bed and pretty fitted bedroom furniture. New en-suite bathroom with double-ended bath, central taps, shower over, basin and WC. Separate cloakroom with basin and WC, washing machine and condenser dryer. 

Outside : Gated private garden in front and to the side of the property with outside wrought iron table and chairs provided. Archway through to patio area with bench and barbecue. To the side is half an acre of land to explore enclosed by a low fence. The cottage is reached by level path across the neighbouring property from the parking area, alongside a fenced pond. There are views from the garden across open countryside towards Plymouth and The Tamar Valley.

St Mellion Golf Club has two 18 hole championship golf courses: 
Jack Nicklaus Course : Jack has built in classic high tees with good views of the fairways, water hazards and the necessity to place the ball with precision in order to return a low score. Not a single hole on this challenging golf courses is mediocre - each one tests the best. The greens are constructed to the American specification of a sand and peat mix and seeded with special imported US grass imported to give a true putting surface that can be played year round.  The medal tees play 6,000 yards for a real test of your golf. The course has a variation of tee positions, so that both the the club golfer and the professional golfer can stretch themselves.

Old Course : The 6000 yard "Old Course" at St Mellion is a championship golf course in its own right. Opened in 1976 it has many holes which will test the very best golfer.  The bunkers are positioned to catch all but the very best shot, making it wiser to position the ball for a pitch to the green. The long par 4 third can be reached with two good shots. The twelfth is the most picturesque of the Par three's with the lake being quite awe inspiring to the nervous player.
