Castello di Spessa

 

The castle has always been suited for hospitality. Its vocation is proved by many illustrious stays during the centuries, one for all Giacomo Casanova in 1773.

 

Today, we put at our Guests disposal 14 rooms and a loft, furnished with 1700 and 1800 furniture, with an historical and aristocratic atmosphere and intimacy. Breakfast is served in the ancient kitchen.

 

And then, it is possible to relax in the old park, or to visit the original medieval wine cellars under the castle, where our wines are refined. In the magnificent scenery of the old park there is also a splendid 18 holes golf course, accessible also during winter, because of its location that ensures a mild climate during most of the year.

 

Tavernetta al Castello

 

Once it was the ancient tavern, today it is an elegant and comfortable restaurant with rooms in the countryside. That is the reason why it is the perfect place for whom is seeking a relaxing stay in peace and tranquillity, after a day dedicated to the different itineraries that Friuli offers.

 

Tavernetta al Castello provides 10 B&B rooms fully equipped, and a gourmand restaurant in where refined dishes are served as well as our delicious wines, always with an eye to tradition, of course.

Hosteria del Castello is the Club House: it is not just for golfers, but also forwho wants simply enjoy the beautiful Collio and its landscapes, a bit of relax drinking something in the beautiful patio, or good typical cuisine, that provides a wide selection of cold cuts, cheese, delicious first courses and meat, chef’s highlight.

 

Agriturismo La Boatina

This lovely country inn, lies in the middle of the vineyards that produces the fine Castello di Spessa wines, and it is perfect for who searches well-being, nature, tranquillity.

 

The elegant and comfortable inn provides 5 B&B double rooms and a splendid view on the vineyards. Wide selection of typical cold cuts and cheeses, to appreciate combined with our wines. The perfect conclusion? The tasty grappa by Pali Wines.

 

Golf Apartments in the Vineyards

A different way to immerge yourself in the nature and experience beautiful Friuli with the freedom that a stay in apartment offers.

 

The apartments, totally six, are furnished in a romantic country style were obtained by a

completely restored ancient dependence of the castle and are full optional. The country house is completely independent, with a big garden, and offers a breathtaking view on the properties of Castello di Spessa and on the vineyards surrounding the hill.

GOLF & COUNTRY CLUB CASTELLO DI SPESSA

Plunged in the wonderful scenario of the park of the Castle and annexed grounds, a splendid 18-hole golf path was designed by Architect Giacomo Cabrini. The path goes across different landscapes, which contribute so much to modelling the fairway that players have the impression they are playing in three different greens. Another distinctive feature is that the holes are entirely different one from another.  The particular position, makes possible to play also during the cold season.
