CASA CAL DOMINO is a four double bedroom Luxury Villa situated on a small wooded hill on the doorstep of the Gavarres National Park and 3 km from the pristine Mediterranean coastline of the Costa Brava. Approximately 90 kilometers north of Barcelona, close to Girona and between the towns of Palamos and Platja d'Aro, the Villa has stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea and the medieval village of Calonge and it's Castle. It has been tastefully renovated to a high standard and is orientated south east so from sunrise over the Gavarres hills and Mediterranean sea it has full sun until early evening allowing the rooms to cool before night time. The Villa and gardens have been designed to allow for total privacy so you can relax as you wish without being overlooked.

 

When you arrive in Calonge, we will be waiting to greet you and show you around the Villa. We have extensive knowledge of the local area and can advise you if you have any questions that the House Book doesn´t cover. The Kitchen is well stocked with everyday items and we advise coming to the Villa to see what we provide before buying anything at the supermarket. Also waiting for you will be our welcome pack of fruit, cheese, milk, pate, a selection of local hams, bread, some red and white wine, a bottle of Cava and some soft drinks for the children.

 

The 8m x 4m heated infinity pool has a lockable electric semi-automatic safety cover which conforms to the much stricter French NF P90 308 safety standards. The tropical hardwood pool deck and lower terrace are only accessible through a "pet safe" bolted gate and lockable doors.

 

The Villa is located on a quiet residential road within the urbanisation of Mas Ambros. There is ample space for 3 cars immediately in front of the Villa. It has double glazing throughout, natural gas central heating and log fire for the winter months and video coded entrance system.

 

The villa has four double bedrooms, one of these double rooms has an en-suite bathroom and one double room has two single beds. There are two further house bathrooms. Each bathroom has a double walk in shower, sink and toilet. The main house bathroom has "his and hers" sinks, bidet, Jacuzzi bath and sauna room accommodating 8 people. There is also a cot and a high chair for babies. Please ask about availablity when Reserving the Villa.

 

The modern, fully equipped American style kitchen comes with 5 ring gas hob, overhead extractor, electric oven, dishwasher, microwave oven, toaster, kettle, sink and washing machine and a solid oak dining table which seats 8. The kitchen has it's own terrace shaded by a pergola with wisteria, jasmin and bougainvillea and views over Calonge and the mediteranean sea and a solid teak table that seats 8 people for al fresco dining and a gas BBQ.

 

On The north east terrace there is a small herb garden with fruit trees and table and  chairs for some quiet time away from the pool area.

 

In the garden there is a 4x8 heated salt water infinity pool, protected by a child security gate. The Pool is fully automatic and is cleaned weekly by our maintenance crew. The salt water system (same salinity as tears) and electrolysis machine constantly checks and maintains the minimal level of chlorine for more natural (and healthier) bathing. It is surrounded by a 60m² tiled terrace and a further 30m² tropical hardwood deck complete with 6 sunloungers and palm covered sunshade.

 

To one side of the pool there is a jasmin and bougainvillea covered pergola under which we have an external jacuzzi massage spa / hot tub which is heated to 38˚C and can accommodate 3 people. The Infinity pool comes with a remote control multi-colour LED lighting system for the evenings and an automatic safety cover.

 

There are two lounges in the villa. The upper lounge has two double sofas facing a wall mounted log burner and wide screen TV with DVD player and satellite box receiving most free to watch British and European channels. It has a terrace with 2 sunloungers overlooking the gardens and coastline. The other lounge is situated close to the kitchen and has a further double sofa and high back chair with CD player, iPod dock and large picture window with views to the sea.
