Darleith is set within 32 acres of the private Darleith country estate it offers tranquility yet only a short drive to many local visitor attractions. Situated 2 miles from the conservation village of Cardross on the edge of the Loch Lomond National Park, which is only 20 minutes away.

 

This location offers you the peace of the countryside where deer, barn owls, buzzards, kestrels and various other wild life can be seen. The Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park HQ is based in Balloch, Loch Lomond. Around Loch Lomond you can find something for everyone,shopping, Segways, kayaking, salmon and trout angling, clay pigeon shooting, coarse fishing, cycling. There is also horse ridinga nd 4x4 off roading for the more adventurous.

 

Helensburgh is just six miles way which gives you access to the West Highland Line to transport you to Fort William. Hill House one of Charles Rennie MacKintosh’s greatest creations sits at the top of Helensburgh. The Waverley, Britain’s last ocean-going paddle-steamer, sails from Helensburgh to the Kyles of Bute during the summer. Cardross, Helensburgh and Balloch offer a selection of great restaurants and pubs with live entertainment.

 

Accommodation

Darleith Mews is a recently completed luxury 2 bedroom self-catering flat offers a high standard of self catering accommodation. It has a master bedroom with a king size double bed, ensuite toilet and a shower.

 

The twin bedroom has two single beds. All linen is provided. There is also a family shower room, a fully equipped kitchen and an outside decking area with tables chairs and a barbecue.

 

The Darleith Luxury Self Catering flat has recently been completed to a high specification. It is located in its own grounds within a country estate. We have a Scottish Tourist Board four star self-catering accommodation rating.

Milngavie Golf Club This absolutely stunning location provides fantastic views over Glasgow and the central belt as far as the Pentland Hills, and also across to the Campsies and to Ben Lomond.

 

Clober Golf Club The course measures 4963 yards, par 66 for men and 4514 yards, par 67 for ladies and is a very enjoyable test for all levels of golfers.

 

Hilton Park Golf Cub, Two interesting moorland courses designed by James Braid set amid beautiful scenery.
Hilton: 18 holes, 6,054 yards, par 70 (SSS 70).
Allander: 18 holes, 5,374 yards, par 69 (SSS 70).

 

Balmore Golf Club, The Vardon-designed course enjoys spectacular, uninterrupted views across majestic countryside.

 

Aberfoyle Golf Club Lies South of Loch Lomond but high on the Menteith Hills. This course is very up and down but is quite short, so it is not over challenging.

 

Campsie Golf Club . The 18 hole course works its way above the picturesque village of Lennoxtown, and offers stunning views over the surrounding areas.

 

Scotland is golfing country and as you would expect, there are many more courses within a couple of hour's drive. These include exclusive and world famous championship courses such as Troon, Muirfield, Turnberry, Prestwick, Gleneagles, Carnoustie and St. Andrews.
