The house was named "Shantiniketan", an abode of peace and joy, inspired by the work of Indian poet / philosopher Rabindranath Tagore - Nobel Prize for Literature 1913.

Each of our Seven Rooms has a unique style reflecting our Indian origins.

Estoril Golf Club

The Estoril Golf Course is located in one of Europe's oldest established tourist resorts. West of Lisbon and overlooking the Atlantic, the Estoril Coast has a mild climate, so that you can enjoy your favourite sport all year round. Overlooking Estoril and the sea, the 5,262 metre-long course is set amongst eucalyptus, pine and mimosa trees, giving it a uniquely colourful touch.

 

Penha Longa Golf Resort

The Atlantic Course is an 18-hole, par 72, championship course of 6,290 meters, offering a challenging course with breathtaking views over the ocean with Estoril and Cascais to the South and the Sintra hills to the North. The Monastery Course is a nine-hole, par 35 course of 2,588 meters. This course spreads around the historical heart of the resort and is the perfect complement to The Atlantic Course.

 

Quinta da Marinha Golf Course

The golf course at Quinta da Marinha has 18 holes with 5.870 metres of unadulterated nature surroundings and major challenges. Designed by the legendary Robert Trent Jones Senior, this par 71 has great views to Atlantic Ocean and Sintra Mountains.

 

Oitavos Dunes Golf Course

One of the finest courses in the region. Renowned American designer Arthur Hills has created an exciting mixture of links and parkland holes while retaining the area's natural beauty. Oitavos has a traditional 'out and back' layout, but that's the only ordinary thing about it. The amazing glass-fronted clubhouse is almost as spectacular as the scenery, with every hole offering views of the Atlantic.

 

Quinta da Beloura Golf Club

This is the Estoril Coast's newest course and the flat terrain makes this an enjoyable and not exhausting course. Designed by Rocky Roquemore, there are 6 lakes and 40,000 trees, so accuracy is key here. Excellent mountain views. Practice range, tuition.
