Golf Holidays France

Brittany Ferries golf holidays and golf breaks in France

French Golf Holidays represent excellent quality and great value, as the country has so much to offer with many different types of golf courses in many regtions.

The many courses are outstanding, varied in style accordingly to locality, but always beautifully maintained.

On top of that, France has the added bonuses of excellent culture, art, fantastic cuisine and wine, history and scenery.

The choice and flexibility of many different ferry crossings makes getting to France so easy and offers a much cheaper alternative than flights (with the ever-increasing costs of luggage and golf club carriage) to destinations further afield from the UK, and is therefore incredibly popular with British golfers.

Brittany and Normandy are firm favourite with their phenomenal golf courses. There are some superb golf resorts within a short drive inland from many of the ports. The towns of Deauville, and St Malo have a variety of courses and are easily reachable by car.

Paris and Ile de France has the obvious attractions including the Eiffel Tower, the Champs-Elysees, Notre-Dame, a boat trip down the Seine to name but a few, but the surrounding area is home to some famous courses including the Golf National 18 and 9 hole courses, near Versailles, which will host the 2018 Ryder Cup.

Pays de la Loire offers exceptional golfing locations to ensure a feast for all your senses as you take in some extraordinary landscapes. A quality green is par for the course and there are a variety of top class courses in the area with plenty of things to do and see when you tire of teeing-off. Being a foreigner is never a handicap, you will be welcomed like an old friend. You can team-up with some locals and maybe improve your French in your quest for that ‘hole in one’.

Poitou Charentes is set between the Loire Valley and Dordogne and offers some seriously challenging courses that are all a quick, easy drive from the ports. The coastal towns and islands also benefit from a micro-climate and, of course, the medieval town of Cognac is known for its fabled nectar - distillery and tasting tours are free!

Some of France's oldest and most famous golf courses can also be found in the historic region of Aquitaine that has a reliably warm and sunny climate making it all in all a great golfing destination.

There is such an abundance of courses in this wonderful country, that one French golf holiday will never be the same as the next! Whatever type of golf holiday you are looking for, there are golf breaks in France to suit every budget and taste.
