Villa Reva - Situated near famous Mougins, this Provençal villa has 5 air conditioned bedrooms, large kidney-shaped pool and 1500m2 of very private mature garden. Only 15 minutes from Cannes.

 

Renovated in 2009 this Provencale villa, located on a private road, close to Mougins with views over the valley and local countryside. It has five air conditioned bedrooms, a kidney-shaped pool surrounded by a large terrace and a lovely mature garden. The accommodation is tastefully furnished giving a luxurious feel with marble floors throughout. Ideal for 6 people.

Only 15 minutes from Cannes and not far from other Cote d'Azur resorts such as Antibes, Biot, Cagnes-sur-Mer, it makes a good base to explore the region. Plus, it is only five minutes on foot to the famous Mougins Golf and Country Club.

 

Accommodation Details : The main entrance to the villa leads into the large lounge with dining area.The lounge is tastefully furnished with plenty of comfortable seating, a great place to relax at the end of the day. For entertainment there is a full size piano, English TV, DVD and Wi-Fi. The lounge has a working feature fireplace, round glass dining table seating four/six and several console tables. Double doors open on to a large terrace with views over the fabulous kidney shaped pool and lovely gardens.

The Kitchen opens on to the lounge. A very well equipped kitchen consisting of halogen hob, with an extra large oven beneath, built-in American fridge/freezer with water and ice dispenser, dishwasher and built-in microwave, feature marble sink and drainer plus a table and three chairs.

 

The Master Bedroom suite is private, with access up a narrow marble staircase to the first floor. At the top of the stairs there is a recess area with a writing desk. To the right the bedroom is nicely furnished with a king size bed and sofa under the window with marble floor and plenty of storage space. From here the view is across the pool and gardens. Across the top of the stairs lies the bathroom with marble walls and floor, walk-in shower cubicle, double sinks and wc. The other bedrooms are accessed through double doors from the lounge that open on to a hallway.

Bedroom 2 - From the hall this attractively furnished room has a king size bed, double built-in wardrobes, a further wardrobe and French windows that open on to the large sunny terrace with super views over the pool and gardens. The bathroom is separate and across the hall, with walk- in shower cubicle, bath, built-in sink, wc and heated towel rail.

Bedroom 3 - this room also has a king size bed and open wardrobe. French windows open on to the driveway. An ensuite shower room with marble corner shower, sink unit and wc.

Bedroom 4 - Accessed further along the hall, this room has a larger size single bed, window on to the car port area and French windows on to the driveway. Next door is a separate shower room with walk in shower, double sink unit, heated towel rail and wc.

Further living and sleeping space - Bedroom 5 with small lounge - from the hallway into a small lounge with three seater dark leather sofa, a window on to the side of the house and a single doorway to the large sunny terrace. A stairway leads up to a mezzanine bedroom, with large double bed, a hanging rail and a window with view across the garden.

Outside Details : The villa is surrounded by a fully fenced and hedged, very private landscaped garden of 1500m2, which has an array of plants and trees, including a mature Palm, weeping willow, orange trees, lavender and mimosa. The large sunny terrace has two electric blinds to shade the area from the sun and plenty of space to relax and eat alfresco.

From the terrace, down sweeping stone steps is the superb kidney-shaped pool approx 50m 2 x depth 0.5-3mts, alarmed with Roman steps, surrounded by a spacious pool terrace with sun loungers and large hammock and the beautiful garden beyond.

There is a large Summer Kitchen with a long serving surface, sink, fridge, built-in traditional Barbecue and built-in pizza oven - a great place for family entertaining and cooking pizzas Italian style! There is also a pool house and an outside shower.
 

Activities Nearby : Mougins, only 15 minutes from Cannes, is a picturesque and charming medieval village, built on an outcrop in the shape of a shell, with beautiful French architecture that has been carefully restored. Surrounded by forests, such as the Valmasque forest, together with the pines, olives and cypress trees in the village it has a very natural feel and is a popular tourist attraction.

The Grand Old Lady of the Côte d'Azur. Beside the sea amongst the spreading umbrella pines. Boat ride from 2 to 3 and 12 to 13! Best played in the Spring as it tends to suffer over the Summer months at the hands of "irregular" golfers

In the grounds of the Château de la Bégude, Opio Valbonne is an approachable course through fairly tight woodland. Not as exacting as some maybe, but with a friendly, laid back, atmosphere and superb lunches you are assured of a very relaxing day.
