Recently restored to its former glory, this 17th century comfortable home - Mas - nowadays offers a vast variety of facilities for those who would like to enjoy the French cuisine, (take on) painting, playing a round of golf, or just take a little retreat from every day life. This house offers everything for a lovely week(end) under the blue French skies of the Côte d'Azur.

This lovely, privately owned house, is situated in the golden triangle between the cities of Cannes, Nice and Grasse. Two luxury apartments and five well-equipped rooms with adjoining terrace are at your convenience. The house offers luxury facilities like a large swimming pool, a well-maintained large garden, outdoor bar and kitchen, a characteristic restaurant and a salon with open fireplace. All aimed at serving you with the utmost privacy and comfort. Even an art gallery is part of the venue.

Facilities can be booked in various ways. For a minimum of two nights you can book a room with provençal breakfast included. The apartments suiting two or four persons can be booked per week. These apartments have their own entrance, bathroom, cooking facilities and terrace.

Rooms 1,2 and 3 : Double rooms with bathroom (bath, wash-stand, toilet), hair-dryer, floor heating, airconditioning, refrigerator, coffee corner and terrace.

Room 4 :  Four person room with bathroom (bath, wash-stand, toilet), hair-dryer, floor heating, airconditioning, refrigerator, hair-dryer, coffee corner and terrace. lncluded extra sleeping mezzanine. 

Room 5 : Three person room (four-top-bed + single bed) with bathroom (shower, wash-stand, toilet), hair-dryer, heating, airco, refrigerator, coffee corner and snug corner on inner-court. 

Gite 6 : Four person apartment/gîte, consisting of a living with dining corner, kitchen, two separate double bedrooms (under which one with snug corner), bathroom (shower, wash-stand, toilet) and terrace bordered on inner-court. 

Gite 7 :  Two person apartment on ground floor, consisting of living with kitchen- and dining-corner, two person bed, two person sleeping-couch, bathroom (shower, wash-stand and toilet) and large roof in terrace with view on play-court and mountains.

We now have a third apartment, which is on the second floor. This is a more luxury apartment with small kitchenette, flatscreen tv and 2 x 90/200 twinbeds, bathroom with rainshower, toilet and washstand, dinner table with 4 chairs, a second bedroom with 2 x 80/180 beds for second couple or 2 kids.
Price 750 low season, 800 middleseason and 900 higseason from Sunday till sunday.
Cleaning costs 50 € end of stay and linen rent 12,50 p.p.p.week.

This apartment can be extended by another room with 2 x 90/200 twinbeds and an extra sleeping couch for third person or 2 kids, plus a large bathroom with rainshower, washstands and Jacuzzi.
In total the price than will be 1400 € - 1500 € and 1600 € a week from Sunday till Sunday. The 100 m2 in total is suitable for 6 to 8 people.

On the first floor of the house a permanent exhibition of the artist/instructor Alex Lichtveld can be found in the art gallery. Mas Shabanou also offers special arrangements for (taking on) the art of painting/ drawing. . Taking this altogether, Mas Shabanou is a first class location for organising seminars, meetings en group arrangements up to 16 persons.

Three nights a week we offer evening meals.  

Activities : As well as our painting courses we can offer you accompanied visits with our art professor Alex Lichtveld to the Picasso museum at Antibes and the museum at St Paul De Vence.

Opio Valbonne Golf Course 18 holes: 5931m: par 72.
In the grounds of the Château de la Bégude, Opio Valbonne is an approachable course through fairly tight woodland. Not as exacting as some maybe, but with a friendly, laid back, atmosphere and superb lunches you are assured of a very relaxing day.

Victoria Golf Club Par 34, 2.334 mètres
This course is well protected by bunkers and water features, particularly on the first and eigth hole and requires straight hitting, a number of valleys and slopes on the fairways.

Royal Mougins Golf Club 18 holes: 6004m: par 71.
Home of the Cannes Open: so a true "Championship" course, seemingly designed with TV cameras in mind. Expensive, but Green-fees do include a buggy and endless range balls!

St. Donat Golf Club 18 holes: 6031m: par 71
A typical Trent Jones course, albeit modified by the terrain in places. Wends its way through gently sloping terrain, and around the pretty loops of the rivulet.  Very popular with local golfers at the weekends.

Cannes Mougins Golf Course 6236 metres par 72
Cannes Mougins Golf Course is one of the most prestigious on the Cote D'Azur. Created by Allis and Thomas and modelled on the great English courses.

Biot Golf Course 18 holes  Par 67  4 511 m
Designed in 1930, the "Bastide du Roy" course shows a flat and short relief, rather narrow and accessible to all levels of play. Full of charm, rustic and romantic, the landscape as well as the course will seduce all players, younger as older ones.

Cannes-Mandelieu Golf Club 18 + 9 holes: 5676m: par 71
The Grand Old Lady of the Côte d'Azur. Beside the sea amongst the spreading umbrella pines. Boat ride from 2 to 3 and 12 to 13! Best played in the Spring as it tends to suffer over the Summer months at the hands of "irregular" golfers.
