Welcome to the Manor House - Bed & Breakfast Accommodation in Aiskew. A warm welcome awaits you at The Manor House, part of which dates back to the 17th Century.

 

The bed and breakfast property stands in beautiful south facing grounds with a terrace for your enjoyment in the good weather and there is ample off street parking. We have a delightful residents’ lounge and a well stocked library. Breakfast is served around our large dining room table.

 

We have three guest bedrooms available, each with an en suite bathroom, tea/coffee making facilities, hair dryers and flat screen televisions

 

The Manor House is situated on the A684, approximately 0.5 miles from the historic market town of Bedale (which is within walking distance and offers a good range of amenities). The area is an ideal base for those wishing to explore the Yorkshire Dales, James Herriot country and the North Yorkshire Moors, with the cathedral city of Ripon being only twenty minutes drive away and the medieval city of York and delightful spa town of Harrogate within an hour’s drive.

 

We are not only surrounded by magnificent countryside and scenery but the ancient castles of Middleham, Richmond, Raby, Bolton, Barnard Castle (and Bowes Museum), the ruined abbeys of Jervaulx, Fountains and Riveaulx and the beautiful gardens of Constable Burton and arboretum at Thorp Perrow. The Wensleydale Railway is within walking distance from us and runs steam trains during the summer months.

The local Dales & District bus company run regular services into Northallerton and the Dales. Catterick, Masham and Richmond not too far away. For the beer connoisseurs we have the breweries of Theakston and Black Sheep in Masham.

 

Accommodation

We offer a very high standard of accommodation as follows:-

• One superior extra large bedroom with super king size bed and en suite bathroom with shower over bath.

• Two deluxe double bedrooms with en suite shower rooms. These two bedrooms have recently been totally refurbished and can each be booked for single occupancy.

All our bedrooms are individually furnished and decorated and have hospitality trays, hair dryers and flat screen televisions.

 

We have a delightful south westerly facing residents’ lounge for your relaxation during the summer months and a library which is well stocked with books to suit all tastes, games and jigsaws.

 

Breakfast is served around our large dining room table and for those wishing to enjoy a traditional English breakfast all our produce is sourced locally.

The course winds through beautiful 18th Century parkland, with wide, tree-lined fairways and long-range views of the Wensleydale hills. Water comes into play on seven holes and the course is made more challenging by the prevailing Westerly breeze

 

Romanby Golf Club

A championship standard 18-hole golf course, set in 200 acres of tranquil North Yorkshire parkland with attractive lakes and the River Wiske presenting excellent water hazards, Romanby provides a challenging but fair test for all categories of golfer.

 

Masham Golf Club

Attractive 9-hole mature parkland golf course with the central feature of the River Burn always a hazard to contend with. The small raised greens and tight fairways demand an accuracy.

 

Richmond Golf Club

Catterick Golf Club

Our golf course, which dates back to 1930, blends seamlessly with the local countryside to provide both beautiful views and some great golf holes. There are three different tee positions on each hole so that golfers of all abilities can enjoy their round. Our goal is to provide a high quality golf experience at affordable prices.

 

Ripon City Golf Club

Ripon City is a relatively short par 71 course that measures 6,084 yards. The front nine has some interesting holes that offer fantastic views over the City of Ripon and is set in undulating parkland, so can be quite demanding if walking

 

Thirsk & Northallerton Golf Club

Nestled in the beautiful countryside of North Yorkshire and with a splendid backdrop of the rolling hills on one side and lush vales on the other, Thirsk & Northallerton golf Club is one of those parkland courses that is simply a pleasure to play. It is set in a richly agricultural area and offers superb views of the Hambleton Hills to the east and Wensleydale to the west. The attractive 18 hole, parkland course measures 6533 yards and is acknowledged as being one of the best in North Yorkshire, with excellent greens and fairways
