Robertsbridge Retreat at Cornhill comprises two luxuriously furnished self catering apartments which have been converted from which was originally an old Corn Mill dating back to the mid 1800s. These are now known as the "Upper Apartment" and the "Lower Apartment" each with their own separate entrance and front door and Parking Bay. There is additional parking just one minute away in the Village Car Park. We accept small, well behaved PETS in the Lower Apartment

 

The Upper Apartment has two sumptuously furnished bedrooms and sleeps a total of 5/6 people (5 beds + folding beds/travel cots as required, by request). This luxury apartment has been newly decorated and furnished and comprises:

Large fitted kitchen with quality appliances - electric oven and hob, extractor, washer/dryer, microwave, kettle, toaster, bone china crockery and quality cutlery, an array of beautiful glass wear etc.

A selection of welcome grocery and breakfast packs are available to be pre-ordered

Bathroom with bath, power shower, sink and loo and fluffy towels

Complimentary, high quality bathroom amenities are provided.

Large lounge with contemporary designed furnishings and dining suite to accommodate 5 guests, 32" Freeview flat screen TV and DVD. New for 2012 - over 100 Freesat channels, radio/CD

Bedroom one - sleeps 3. King sized bed to sleep 2 which can be unzipped to provide 2 single beds, also an additional single bed set as a day bed with full sized single mattress. Sumptuously furnished with beautiful linens, quality mattresses and luxury topper and gloss finish bedroom furniture.

Bedroom two - sleeps 2. Beautiful contemporary 4 poster king sized bed with a memory foam mattress and luxury soft topper and solid pine bedroom furniture, again with luxury linens

Additional quality folding beds (£25 each recommended for children only) travel cot (free)/high chair (free) available on request

 

The Lower Apartment is on the Ground Floor and has one stunning bedroom and sleeps 2/4 people (one double bed + folding beds/travel cots as required, by request)

This luxury ground floor apartment has been newly decorated and furnished and comprises:

Compact but well fitted kitchen with quality appliances - electric oven and hob, extractor, microwave, kettle, toaster, bone china crockery and quality cutlery, an array of beautiful glass wear etc. We have removed the washer/dryer to use the space as an ideal cubby hole for a pet basket, so laundry services are available instead at Woodside B&B

Bathroom with bath, power shower, sink and loo and fluffy towels

Complimentary, high quality and eco friendly bathroom amenities are provided.

Bedroom - sleeps 2 Wrought iron double bed with memory foam, to sleep 2. Sumptuously furnished with beautiful linens, quality matresses and contemporary bedroom furniture.

A 3rd/4th person can be accommodated on a quality folding beds placed in the lounge - please notify so we can arrange to have this in place as it is stored outside the apartment (£25 per bed - recommended for children only)

The apartments are located in a tucked away, peaceful location in the centre of the historic Medieval town of Robertsbrige, just one minute walk from the High Street where you can find the most amazing architecture, restaurants, lovely village pubs and the local shops for groceries, as well as banks, a post office, hairdressers, butchers and florist.

 

Robertsbridge is a gorgeous character village, steeped in history and is perfectly and centrally located to visit all the local areas of outstanding natural beauty, an array of English Heritage and National Trust properties and gardens nearby and only 20 minutes from the fabulous dunes of Camber sands and coastal towns like Hastings, ideal for the children. Bodiam Castle is just 10 minutes, Great Dixter 10 minutes and the spa town of Tunbridge Wells just 20 minutes.  Bodiam, Rye, Tenterden, Northiam and Battle are all within 20 minutes, as are many listed cycling and country walks and nature trails.

 

As a guest at Robertsbridge Retreat at Cornhill you may also take advantage of the facilities provided at the Five Star Gold Award winning B&B - Woodside Bed and Breakfast just 8 minutes drive away at the tiny village of Cripps Corner.

 

If you wish to go to Woodside, you can sample their Award Winning Gourmet Breakfast for just £10 per head, just pre book the night before and enjoy breakfast either in their restaurant or eat al fresco on their terrace overlooking their 10 acres of garden, paddock and ancient bluebell woods.

 

Fancy a trip to their Health Suite to enjoy a soak in the Hot Tub, session in the Infrared Sauna, shower in the body jet shower or take a massage by their very own highly qualified masseuse that treats exclusively at Woodside? - then simply book a session with Amanda. Only £10 to use the Health Suite and £50 for a 70 minutes personally designed relaxing massage with their masseuse Jo.

 

What about a traditional British High Tea? - come and sample a Woodside special High Tea - sandwiches, tea cakes, scones with clotted cream and home made jam, fresh cream and non cream cakes and lashings of tea to wash it down. £14.50 per person for a feast fit for a king or would you rather a Pimms?

 

The philosophy of Robertsbridge Retreat at Cornhill is to offer self catering facilities at the highest possible level, but in a relaxed and child friendly environment. Sedlescombe Golf Club 5 minutes
The lakes, ponds, bunkers and woodland on the 6,269 yard, par 72 course offer a challenge to the scratch golfer, while the average golfer will enjoy some spectacular golf with a variety of obstacles in one of the prettiest corners of England.

 

Dale Hill Golf Club - 15 minutes

The Dale Hill Course, since opening in 1973, has become one of the southeast's foremost courses. This well-established course, rich in wildlife and mature woodland, is blessed with contrasting scenery. The front nine is parkland, whilst the back nine is heavily wooded, challenging even the more experienced golfers. 18 holes. Par 70. 5856 yards. The Ian Woosnam Course was Constructed in 1997 to USGA specifications and is a par 72, 6512-yard course demanding and rewarding accuracy off the tee

 

Beauport Park Golf Club – 10 minutes
Situated between the towns of Hastings and Battle, this 18-hole 6,325-yard parkland course is a 'must visit' on your trip to Sussex. The course is fairly traditional and is mapped out in two halves. The front nine is a true test of golf for all levels of player, with the majority of holes requiring careful positional play from the tee.

 

Battle Golf Club - 15 minutes

Battle Golf Club is situated in the heart of "1066 Country" just two miles from the historic town of Battle, infamous for the site of the "Battle of Hastings" in East Sussex. The course is well maintained offering relaxed yet challenging golf and stands in an elevated position in an area of outstanding natural beauty.

 

Rye Golf Club - 15 minutes

Harry Colt’s first design in 1894, later modified by Tom Simpson and Sir Guy Campbell, Rye is a fiendishly difficult course. The unpredictable and fierce winds and a fascinating variety of stances necessary for shot-making create difficulty, despite a par of 68 over 6,300 yards.

 

Weald of Kent Golf Club - 25 minutes

Since opening in 1991 the course has matured into an interesting parkland retreat, with a growing reputation for fast, true greens. With a variety of man made and natural lakes and hazards the Weald of Kentvis a challenge to golfers of all abilities. The well maintained, generous fairways are forgiving enough for the novice to enjoy a round but the slick putting surfaces and strategically positioned bunkers and water features will test even the most competent of players.
