The Indiana Course
Inspired by the famous desert courses of Arizona & California, The Indiana course, built to full USGA specifications is a spectacular example of man's creativity in harmony with nature; its emerald green fairways are set amongst massive rocky outcrops, arroyos and dry rivers. The contrast of the immaculate fairways and "desert springs" with the arid landscape of cactus, rock and flowering desert, all framed within a panorama of landmark mountain ranges, is stunning at all times of the year. Over 600,000 cacti and other desert plants grow progressively more dense and troubling, the further your shot is off the fairway, culminating in the dreaded "spiked lies", so the course is both demanding and exhilarating and offers a variety of shot making challenges to test the skill level of every player, from the beginner to professional. The quality of the course is confirmed by its selection by the English Golf Union and the Welsh Ladies Golf Union, as their "Spanish Home" and also by the Royal Spanish Golf Federation, for whom Desert Springs hosted the 2004 Spanish Amateur Open. Its Academy of Golf provides practice facilities, second to none, for National squad and County Union members.

The Villas
Three and four bedroom luxury accommodation in these large and spacious 'Casa Corjitos', Country Villas, each with its own private pool, terraces, solarium and barbecue.Elegantly furnished for six or eight people (max) with living room, dining area, cloakroom, two or three bathrooms, some en-suite, sun terraces, spacious verandas, mini bar, safe box, direct dial telephone and TV/Satellite.

The Cottages

Charming three and four bedroom cottages, built in the style of the traditional 'Casas del Campo' on the Almanzora Valley. Scattered around the internal gardens and swimming pools of La Rosa del Desierto, Echo Rock and Desert Star in the heart of the Resort, they sleep six or eight (max). Beautifully furnished with living areas, cloakroom, two or three bathrooms, sun terraces, mini bar, safebox, direct dial telephone and TV/Satellite.

The Suites

The stylish two and three bedroom suites on two or three floors, in townhouse and apartment style, overlook a tranquil 'patio andaluz' lined with orange trees or the central and childrens pools of Las Sierras or La Fuente set in a garden of bold tropical colours.Accommodation for two, four, or six with elegantly finished living rooms, bathroom, shower room, private sun terrace, mini bar, safe box, direct dial telephone and TV/Satellite.

 

Refreshment 

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served at our Clubhouse, which is at the heart of the Lodge and Desert Springs.The El Torrente Restaurant prepares specialties to suit every palate, whether your taste is for wholesome Spanish dishes or delicate fine cooking, the selection on offer at the stunning restaurant, is sure to please everyone.A wide selection of local dishes, tapas, salads and fresh fish can be enjoyed on the terraces overlooking the 18th Green or on the deck over the Powder Creek rapids.Overlooking the whole resort is an outstanding thatched African style long house, which is the evocative home of The Crocodile Club, with its swimming pools, Jacuzzi, up and down bars, sun lawns and play areas.

 

Open evenings in winter and all day in summer, the Croc offers a menu of Spanish and Thai dishes, fish, pizzas, pastas and take-away; something for all the family.
