ANTICA FONTE RESORT nestles among the sweet rolling hills of Tuscany, along one of the borders most hotly disputed between Florence and Siena, in close contact with the Chianti Classico area and near to an ancient spring, all of these being some of the most important features of the Siena area.

The residence comprises three detached villas containing 15 elegantly furnished apartments featuring stone outer walls, terracotta tiled floors, wood-beam ceilings, bathrooms lined with quality marble, independent entrances and gardens, independent heating and air-conditioning, satellite TV and services in each room.

 

The resort also features 4 hectares of parkland, three panoramic salt-water swimming pools with a chlorine-electrolysis disinfection system, one 16 x 8m, another 9 x 8m with whirlpool and a 25 square metre pool for children, a large solarium in travertine with umbrellas and sunbeds, parking, mountain bikes, a shared laundry with ironing facilities and coin-operated washing machines and a barbecue for open-air grills.

 

The Antica Fonte Restaurant inside the Resort offers guests the finest dishes and wines of Tuscany.

 

During their holidays, guests at ANTICA FONTE RESORT can choose from a wide variety of tourist itineraries. They can go on many excursions on foot, by bike or by car, such as the footpath in the midst of enchanting scenery which takes them to the mediaeval town of Casole d'Elsa, just 800 m away, set on a hilltop dominating the Elsa Valley, a land of boundless suggestion. Using the quiet and peaceful ANTICA FONTE RESORT as their base, guests can easily visit the most important historical centres of Tuscany: Florence, Siena, San Gimignano, Monteriggioni, Volterra, Pisa, Arezzo and the coast.

 

ANTICA FONTE RESORT comprises 3 detached villas containing a total of 15 apartments, 56 beds, divided into three types: two-room, three-room and four-room. Each villa was built maintaining the characteristics of typical country houses, with stone outer walls, terracotta tiled floors, wood-beam ceilings, country furniture, bathroom and kitchen walls and worktops in quality marble, painstakingly selected elegant furnishings.

Villa Rosa is composed by 4 apartments : 3 four rooms on the ground floor and a two rooms on the first floor for 10 double rooms in total and 4 kitchen living room with 4 double sofa bed (20 adults sleeps + 8 children sleeps).

Villa Ginestra is composed by 5 apartments : 4 three rooms, two on the ground floor, two on the first floor and a two rooms on the ground floor for 9 double rooms in total and 5 kitchen living room with 5 double sofa bed ( 18 adults sleeps + 10 children sleeps).

Villa Margherita is composed by 6 apartments : 3 two rooms on the ground floor, 1 three rooms on the ground floor and two three rooms on the first floor for 9 double rooms in total and 6 kitchen living room with 6 double sofa bed ( 18 adults sleeps + 12 children sleeps).

Kitchenette with 4-burner oven, fridge with freezer, microwave and toaster. Living room with sofa bed. Satellite TV in all rooms. Safe. Independent heating and air-conditioning with internal thermostat and bed, bath and kitchen linen. Bathroom with shower. Hairdrier. Independent entrance to each apartment. All our three-room apartments and four-room apartments have dishwasher.

Golf Club Abbadia www.abbadiagolf.com , for all type of players, professionals and beginners, from which you have a wonderful view of the hill of Colle Val d'Elsa and the towers of San Gimignano. It’s possible also to take part in various courses to learn and improve the golf game hold by Professionals of the Golf Italian Federation.

 

Golf dell ‘Ugolino
A natural course, difficult, for differences in levels, the handicaps, the small and well defended greens. Considered one of the most suggestive natural golf course of the world, it has been named among the 50 most beautiful golf course of the world by the American writer Chris Santella.

 

Fontevivo Golf Club

The Golf Club Fontevivo is in the outskirts of San Miniato, an old small town with important Romanesque and renaissance monuments. You can reach it from the highway Firenze-Pisa going out at San Miniato and following the road signs to Fontevivo Tennis and Golf. Apart from the course with 9 holes there is a driving range, tennis courts, a bar and a restaurant which specializes in fish dishes.
