In 1993 Bru Na Boinne was designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Boyne View is an ideal base for touring Dublin. We are less than one hours drive from Dublin city centre. We can advise on touring, shopping and sporting occasions.
FISHING
We are located on the banks of the River Boyne with 2000 metres of fishing. This part of the Boyne was voted the best trout fishing in the British Isles 2004. The upper Boyne lakes are a 30 minute drive away. They are Lough Lene which has a blue flag for water quality by the EEC. It is mainly trout fishing with boat hire and permits available locally.
Another Boyne lake is Lough Bane which is only 6km from Lough Lene. Wild brown trout can be found on this lake.
White Lough is another of the Boyne lakes and brown and rainbow trout can be found on this lake.
PERMITS ARE AVAILABLE THROUGH THE VARIOUS ANGLING ASSOCIATION AND CAN BE ARRANGED PRIOR TO YOUR HOLIDAY.
If you get tired of Fishing, why not take a Barge on the royal canal less than 9km away or head to Athlone where you can hire out a boat for the day.

This 6088 metre par 73 parkland golf course is maintained to a very high standard. Each hole tests every aspect of an individual's game from tee to green. The fairways are designed to be a challenge for golfers who aspire to position themselves long off the tee, but are forgiving to shorter drivers. The greens are sand based, each with their own individual character, some elevated, some two tiered and all guarded by approach bunkers that pose questions of any approach shot about to be played.

Glebe Golf Course, Trim, first opened its gates to the public in September of 1993 and since then has gone from strength to strength. Designed by the very well respected course designer, the late Eddie Hackett, it provides a superb challenge to golfers of all standards. Covering an area of 150 acres with unique features of gentle rolling hills and leisurely fairways, it's a golfing paradise. With many new features being added to the course every year and the impressive new clubhouse which opened in September 2005, this 18 hole course has become one of the top attractions, for golfers in Meath and surrounding counties.
