The proprietors, Severine and Louis du Tertre, have created a perfect atmosphere and charm in their 1850 Chateau, where a warm welcome awaits you.

 

The Chateau is situated in the heart of an exceptionally preserved country landscape, being an ideal base to relax or explore the riches of the region.

 

There are four double rooms and one suite - each equipped with a separate bathroom and toilet, and guests can enjoy romantic candle-lit dinners served in its traditional dining room.

 

Amenities include a billiard room, an ‘Orangerie’ and a swimming pool in the grounds of the Chateau.

 

The Chateau des Lutz is in an ideal locality for those wishing to explore the surrounding places of interest; in particular, the landing beaches, Mont St Michel and the chateaux of the Loire Valley, together with the ‘Son et Lumiere of the Puy du Fou’ as well as the famous seaside resort ‘La Baule-pornichet’.

 

If you wish to extend your stay, you can enjoy fishing in the Mayenne, horse-riding on private trails, playing tennis or golf, as well as “hot air balloon” trips directly from the Chateau grounds.

 

Cultural events include the "Festival d’Anjou" or "Les heures musicales du haut d’Anjou". Also, there are sporting events such as the 24-hour Le Mans circuit, "le mondial du Lion d’Angers" and "les Equitonales". Visits can be arranged to local vineyards and/or for those upcoming artists, art lessons with authentic painters from the "Beaux Arts" can also be organized. Private parties and weddings can be catered for as well.

Self catering Accommodation

 

The Four á Pain is a charming detached cottage in a rural setting. It is in an outbuilding of a former farmhouse dating from the Second Empire and contains an ancient bread oven preserved in its original state. The cottage is spacious and private, and nearby is a network of scenic hiking trails. There are 3 bedrooms (sleeping up to 6 people), a large lounge, dining room, and a fully-equipped kitchen, The large garden has lawn furniture and a barbecue, and there is a playroom and a games room with ping-pong. Pets are welcome.

 

Gite Pigeonnier : An exceptionally natural unspoilt, independent, quiet and relaxing charming 18th century cottage with swimming pool at the foot of the Orangerie to the side of the Chateau.
Ground floor: fully equipped kitchen with washing machine and dishwasher), open to the living room with fireplace and overlooking the garden.  Master bedroom with two beds ,bathroom with shower and double sinks, separate toilet.
Upstairs, a room with 2 beds (90x190).

Sable Solesmes Golf Club
In the heart of the Sarthe valley, a land teeming with the natural beauty of its forests, streams and rolling countryside, bloom the 27 holes of the Sablé-Solesmes Golf Club.
The woodland course (La Forêt) planted with dozens of local species, continuing next perhaps to a Scottish-inspired links course (La Cascade) with its pure lines and deep bunkers, and finishing at an American-style target-golf course (La Rivière).

This unique set-up has been described as sensational, and is definitely for the energetic. The course is usually kept in beautiful condition throughout the year. Most holes are completely surrounded by natural forest, and there are no “straightforward” holes.

High on the escarpment above the town of Laval, this course offers interesting terrain, with wide fairways and American-style bunkers. Not as intimidating as it first appears, this course is nevertheless a challenge, and there are several slopes that may prove difficult to read.
