Mulsford Cottage is a four star bed and breakfast in the heart of North Wales offering idyllic weekend getaways, or longer term stays for corporate visitors.
Many of our guests visit the historic cities of Chester and Shrewsbury, and the market towns of Wrexham, Whitchurch, Ellesmere and Llangollen. We welcome race-goers to Bangor on Dee races (3 miles), walkers, cyclists and hikers.
Facilities
2 bedrooms: one double and one twin bedded room with bathroom and separate WC/shower. Guests have a private sitting/dining room and use of conservatory and patio. The house is set in two acres of garden and paddock and is surrounded by fields and woodland.

Local Attractions
There are many local attractions within easy driving distance from Muslford, ranging from medieval towns and cities to grand stately homes and castles. For the active visitor there are scores of scenic hikes to be found along the nearby Sandstone trail and of course Snowdonia, within easy day-tripping distance.
There are also many pubs and restaurants secreted away, serving a variety of traditional English food and real ales, and for the party goers nearby Chester and Wrexham have a number of lively venues. For a taste of the high life be sure to visit the Chester races while you are here!

It is ably supported by the equally challenging 6,824 yard Cheshire Course which provides beautiful panoramic views of both the Cheshire and Welsh countryside.

Set in secluded, tranquil gardens on the edge of the village of Tilston, it is the perfect base for visiting the numerous local attractions, playing one of the many golf courses, as a stop on the Cheshire Cycle Way or simply visiting family or friends. Those of you visiting Chester, Wrexham and Malpas Business Parks will find we provide an overnight or extended stay with a personal touch.
Our luxury accommodation and fresh breakfasts, using locally sourced produce, will ensure a good start to every day. Vegetarian and healthy alternatives are a speciality.
Steve and Gail offer 3 individually styled rooms, each one offering something a little different but all with modern facilities and beautiful views. There is ample parking and a secure garage for those important bikes for cyclists. For your evening meal you can choose from numerous pubs and restaurants in the locality, with The Carden Arms, in the heart of the village (5 min walk) providing a good pub atmosphere and an excellent menu in their restaurant. The Paddock is within easy reach (less than 15 miles) of 8 golf courses, Carden Park, with the renowned Nicklaus course, being only one mile away. We are also in easy reach of the Historic City of Chester and the gateway to North Wales
Steve and Gail offer three newly refurbished bedrooms all with large flat screen LCD televisions with DVD and freeview, alarm clock, hairdryers, free Wi-fi connection, luxury toiletries, towels and a comprehensive hot drinks tray. The Ski Lodge also has an ipod docking station.
Guests have their own dining room with individual tables and lounge through which the garden can be accessed.
You are welcome to use the garden and sun lounge to help you unwind and relax. Breakfast can be taken in the guest dining room on individual tables, in the sun lounge or on the garden decking. Your lounge has comfy leather settees and patio doors providing access to the garden, allowing you to wander down to the Tilston Brook or simply sit and watch the Buzzards or Kestrel soaring overhead.
The Bedrooms:-
The Ski Lodge is our master bedroom with stunning ensuite facilities and a gorgeous king sized bed. The room looks out onto our mature, secluded front garden. Double occupancy: from £45 per person per night including breakfast.
The Mountain Retreat has a King or small twin beds and en-suite facilities. This room looks out on to the extensive back garden and sun lounge.

The Boat House has twin beds and a private bathroom. The immaculate bathroom has a beautiful slipper bath and large shower. Bath robes are provided. The room looks out onto the secluded, mature front garden.

Aldersey Green Golf Club is a fine golfing test that is set in 200 acres of beautiful Cheshire countryside. At 6145 yards and a par or 71 the course boasts many tree-lined and narrow fairways so accuracy from the tee is essential if you are to record a good score. Featuring 14 lakes and affording panoramic views of the surrounding area Aldersey Green is both challenging and enjoyable to play.
The course is Set in 100 acres of rolling Welsh countryside. Over the yeards, the Par 69, has matured superbly and now represents a great challenge for golfers of all levels and ability.
Hill Valley Golf Club, Whitchurch
The Emerald Championship Course covers a distance of 6,714 yards and is a par 73. Sweeping around undulating fairways through natural water hazards and strategically placed bunkers, it presents a real golfing challenge to experienced and mid-level players. The shorter par 66 Sapphire Course is designed to hone the skills of less experienced and veteran golfers in the finer points of the short game
Vicars Cross Golf Club,Chester
With Chester's historic city centre nearby and beautiful Cheshire countryside all around, playing at Vicars Cross Golf Club is a pleasure and a challenge. Established in 1939 it is a mature, tree lined parkland course offering a whole variety of shot making to make the best of your round. The investment over the years presents players with USGA standard greens and an all year round, well drained course.
Beautifully situated beside the Shropshire Union Canal, it features a wealth of mature oaks, a picturesque brook and several ponds and copses, all of which add to the golfing challenge and provide rich habitats for wildlife in abundance – hares, foxes, swans and now barn owls.
