Balmeadowside Self Catering Lodges & Cottages, Fife, Scotland- seven modern lodges and 2 newly refurbished Cottages, all with hot tubs, set on the South facing slopes of a mixed farm overlooking the surrounding countryside of Fife, with AMAZING views!
While the setting itself is peaceful and relaxing, the central location means Dundee, St Andrews, Perth and even Edinburgh are not far away. A ll lodges sleep 4 and are ideal for your romantic break or self catering family holiday.
Set out on the hill side you will find our lower four lodges named after trees which are found on the farm plantations - Copper Beech, Douglas Fir, Mountain Ash and Silver Birch. These lodges have one kingsize bedroom and one twin bedroom.
Then on the hill side above the "Trees" you will find the "Birds!". These are named Kingfisher, Skylark and Woodpecker. The "Birds" lodges have one superking bedroom with ensuite shower room and one twin bedroom. All lodges have stunning views over the countryside.
Even higher up the hill side you will find our 2 newly refurbished Cottages(currently in progress, very exciting!) we are now taking bookings from August onwards. The views, if possible, are even more AMAZING!
Rowan Tree Cottage will be ideal for families, master bedroom with superking bed and ensuite shower room, twin bedroom, large open plan kithcen living area with Wood Burning Stove leading out to spacious decking with that essential Hot tub! and a fully fenced garden.
Cherry Blosson Cottage spoil yourselves! Perfect for a couple, romantic break or just a peacful get away. 1 large bedroom with superking 4 poster bed, luxury bathroom with freestanding bath and seperate large shower. Spacious open plan kitchen living area with Wood Burning Stove leading out to the decking with that essential Hot tub!

We are only 15 miles from St Andrews, the Home of Golf and lots more, including sandy beaches, Botanic Gardens, Sea Life Centre, Byre Theatre, museums and nearby Craigtoun Country Park.
The Fair City of Perth is 17 miles West and offers some great shopping, dining, walks and children's activities. The Perthshire scenery is stunning and an attraction not to be missed is Scone Palace.
Dundee, the City of Discovery, is 13 miles North for more shopping and other activities including swimming, ten-pin bowling, cinemas, Camperdown Park, Sensations, Discovery Point and Verdant Works.
The Capital City of Edinburgh is approximately one hours drive away with Scotland's most famous castle, the city zoo and many festivals making it the ideal place for the whole family to visit.
However you don't have to venture far as the Kingdom of Fife itself has many attractions including The Scottish Deer Centre, Cairnie Mega Maze, East Neuk fishing villages, Beautiful beaches and Falkland Palace.

At the heart of the Links, is the Old Course ut it has five 18 hole courses and a nine hole course alongside it. These re all public courses and with the seventh course, The Castle Course, on a site to the south east , comprise the largest public golf complex in Europe. The Old Course is unrivalled for its history and prestige, the New and Jubilee offer true links challenges as does the Eden with a slightly lower yardage. The Strathyrum and Balgove are suitable for more relaxed rounds or beginners and families. And The Castle Course offers a new challenge, a Links-like course.

Kettle Holiday Cottage is a brand new purpose built holiday cottage located within Kingskettle, Fife, Scotland. It is a single story building. It has a double bedroom, bathroom with shower enclosure, open plan lounge, diner and kitchen . French doors lead from the bedroom to a private decking area with a Hot Tub.

The comfortable and modern interior design will soon put you are ease and if you need to have those aches and pains soothed then no better place than to jump in to the Hot Tub. The decking area has been arranged to afford privacy for those using it. Sit in the Hot Tub at night, look at the stars and your stresses will bubble away.
The Village: Kingskettle is a quiet charming village which is nestled in the Howe Of Fife. It is about 30 min drive from St Andrews and the East Neuk of Fife and within easy reach of all main tourist attractions. The village has a local Hotel which serves excellent food and a further two pubs. There is a small Post Office / Grocery store and an outlet which sells freshly prepared rolls, baguettes etc from early morning. It is located 1 mile from Ladybank Railway Station which gives passengers a hassle free trip to all major destinations including Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dundee, Inverness etc.

Founded in 1820, this is Scottish links golf at its very best; several blind shots, numerous hazards and rolling fairways with unexpected bumps. The sea is visible form almost every hole, something which any true links course should encompass.
Fine links fairways and excellent greens have ensured that it has been regularly selected as a final qualifying golf course for the Open Championship. Narrow fairways, bunkers, burns, and ever-changing winds guarantee a testing but rewarding golfing experience.
Scoonie Golf Club is situated in the seaside town of Leven in the Kingdom of Fife. It is a picturesque parkland course about 15 miles from the famous Old Course in St.Andrews and enjoys panoramic views to the north over farmland and hills and to the south over the beautiful Forth estuary .
The course provides a challenge for the serious golfer and pleasant golfing experience for all. The course has a testing finishing five holes which hold your attention to the very end. Here, the River Ore comes into play with the par three, 14th 'Burn' hole a particular feature
Glenrothes Golf Course is an eighteen hole course 5857 metres long (6406 yards), par 71. The course occupies a prominent position on the high ground to the west of Glenrothes. Constructed in 1967 it is set in mature parkland and remains in excellent condition throughout the season.
