Welcome to Dalbrack. A self-catering house for 6-8 in Ballater in the heart of Royal Deeside in Cairngorms National Park, Aberdeenshire.
Dalbrack is a most attractive, traditional period house, located within the small conservation area of Ballater. It has stunning uninterrupted views over Ballater Golf Course towards the hills and mountains of the Balmoral Estate.
The spacious and very comfortable accommodation is bright and sunny and has been fully equipped with everything you might need for an enjoyable holiday. It is the perfect holiday location for golfing, fishing, walking, cycling and enjoying the numerous attractions in the area.
Ballater is surrounded by spectacular highland scenery, all within a short drive or cycle ride.Visit Loch Muick, Cambus O'May, Glengairn and take the road to Strathdon or to Braemar and beyond past Mar Lodge to the bridge at Linn of Dee.

The spacious and very comfortable accommodation is bright and sunny and has been fully equipped with everything you might need for an enjoyable holiday.

Spacious well appointed double bedroom with golf course view, TV/DVD.
Large living room with bay window, oil fired stove, very comfortable sofas, fantastic view, Sky TV, DVD and CD player. There are a very good selection of books, maps, games, DVD's and CD’s. There is also a large collection of Lego and games for children and adults. Wireless broadband.
French doors leading onto:
A large modern open plan kitchen dining room. The kitchen is very well equipped with microwave, double oven, dishwasher, fridge freezer and numerous other electrical appliances and cookbooks!.
Utility room, equipped with additional fridge, washing machine, tumble dryer, sink and drying area.
Shower room with basin and WC.
Upstairs
Cloakroom with WC.
Two large sunny twin bedrooms with outstanding views.
Additional attractively furnished bedroom with comfortable king size bed and washhand basin (available for 1or 2 further people as an extra).
Bathroom with shower over bath, wash hand basin and WC.
All electricity, heating costs, wireless broadband, bed linen and towels as well as many kitchen essentials are included.
Garden The house has a delightful stone paved area to the front with heather and rhododendron borders. There are seats so you can relax, enjoy the view (the top picture on this page) and the sun. To the rear is an enclosed sheltered garden with a lawn and patio, table and chairs.
Golf:
Ballater is a wonderful location for a golf holiday. The local course, Ballater Golf Club is on the doorstep, we even look out onto the first tee. (Golf club hire is available at the club). This eighteen hole, slightly undulating, medium length golf course is situated in one of the most beautiful parts of Upper Deeside. Several holes lie close to the River Dee and many a ball has gone to a watery grave. Ballater and its golf course lie within a circle of hills with glorious views, a delightful golfing experience
Set above the bonnie banks of the Royal river - The River Dee - our picturesque par 69 - 18 hole golf course layout offers a challenge to golfers of all standards. Though not over long at 5801 yards - don't be fooled. Strategically placed bunkers, mature native trees and the "magnetic" River Dee provide obstacles that can test even the most accomplished player.
The course provides a fine test for golfers of all abilities. It presents a rich variety of memorable holes making the most of the natural variations in the terrain which is a mix of rolling parkland with inviting fairways and elevated links-like heathland with tighter targets. Mature trees and water are in play on many holes, with the Loch of Aboyne being a notable feature
Braemar is the highest 18 hole golf course in Britain at around 1,200 feet above sea level. The greens are amongst the finest in the area and the course is very popular with holiday makers and golfing societies. The course is relatively short, measuring 4,935 off the medal tees, but it will test golfers of any standard.
Our 9 hole course is a very demanding but enjoyable par 64. To increase the enjoyment, there are now 13 different tees playing to 10 different greens. You have to play it for yourself to make the most of the course.
