Country House - Rural Tourism

The (House Blackberries) Casa das Amoras - Casa de Campo is a Rural Tourism with a capacity of 9 persons. The house is situated on a farm in the middle of natural park of Sierra S. Mamede in front of the mediaeval Village of Marvão.

A house with four rooms decorated with typical furniture Alentejo, have air conditioning, bathroom and TV. The room accompanied by the typical fireplaces have a little story around them, to read and enjoy local crafts.

Guests also have provision for their two dining areas (indoor and outdoor) and a fully equipped kitchen.

Outside the house beyond the trees there are walks by the river, there is also a garden and pool with a unique landscape to the historical town centre of Marvão.

Marvão, a fortified village at 800 m altitude, with one of the best preserved castles of our country is ideal for a peaceful walk, to appreciate the Judeo medieval houses, churches and narrow streets with places where you can observe the job Manual and regional, potters, painters and weavers brown embroidery.

Marvão provides a vast legacy Neolithic ruins of Roman cities, museums are ideal for a walking holiday in the history of our people.

However, to their guests the House of Blackberries is not the suggestion of a pedestrian walk, bike or by horseback. We intend to take them higher and challenge them to experience a baptism of paragliding flight in the company of our instructor course! (An experience that is for only 40 euros).

The stay in the House of Blackberries, are unique to the group or family, are private and quiet, not sharing the space of the farm, inside and outside the home.

The farmhouse with heated pool, exclusive to the guest ... kitchen and outdoor oven.

Marvão Clube de Campo

Covering 137 hectares of Parque Natural da Serra de São Mamede, the Ammaia Club de Golf do Marvão is the first golf course in the North Alentejo region. Designed by the Portuguese architect Jorge Santana da Silva, the course has undulating greens, a large number of bunkers and four lakes.
