Quinta das Alfaias is located 6 kms from Vila do Conde and 20 kms from Oporto and not more than 12 km to the international airport of Oporto. Only 5 kms are the well known beaches of Mindelo or Vila Chã ( blue flag ) and several restaurants that offer the best seafood or fish of this region. Tennis courts and horse riding are to be found nearby.

Quinta da Barca gentle design demands some alert game strategy. Even as it stands, Quinta da Barca is a long golf course, with four par 4 holes that make it an adequate challenge to keep golfers on their toes.
