La Spiga is a small Country House Hotel, built in 2005 by the Italian owner and his English wife, situated in the Langhe area south of Turin in its own peaceful and private gardens in a sunny position over looking hills and fields.
La Spiga is an ideal place for walking, cycling, golfing, and for visiting the many vineyards and cellars nearby to sample some of the best wines in Italy (Barolo, Barbaresco, Barbera, nebbiolo being the most famous).
If you like great shopping in a fantastic city with many period bars and beautiful squares , Turin is only 45 minute drive, or if you prefer , a trip to the Mediterranean Sea is only one hour away.
La Spiga has a Reading Room, many terraces and patios, swimming pool, private gardens and parking, air conditioning throughout the hotel and its own A la Carte Restaurant serving between October to January the famous White Alba Truffles.

Situated on a raised terrace in our garden you will be able to enjoy the summer sun whilst relaxing with perhaps an aperitivo served by our attentive staff.
THE RESTAURANT
Situated on the ground floor, with French windows leading on to patios under porticos where you will be able to dine in season. We guarantee traditional Piemontese cuisine and a daily suggestion of fresh fish, we also cater for vegetarians.
From October until January the famous white truffles of Alba are on the menu.
You will be able to choose your wine from the best of the local wine producers and other areas of Italy.
Situated only one hour from the Alps, and the beautiful Ligurian sea, these two areas in Piemonte are famous both gastronomically, culturally and of course, for the famous Barolo and Barbaresco wine.
Rich with spectacular scenery sought after by nature lovers and sports enthusiasts, and by those who seek a warm and attentive service away from the noise of every day life, in a land where the nature is good for the soul.
Exploring by foot, on horse back or cycling you are able to linger over the gentle hilly landscapes and between the vineyards.
Each hill is unique and many are topped with castles dating from the Middle Ages.

In the south of Piedmont, in the province of Cuneo, at the feet of the ancient city of Cherasco, where the rivers Tanaro and Stura meet, nestles the Cherasco Golf Club. Whilst playing the 18 holes it is easy to be captivated by the stupendous panorama which surrounds you from the gentle hills of the Langa, famous for great wines and white truffles, to the ridge of the Maritime Alps crowned by the impressive peak of Monviso.

The course has a wonderful view of the Alps and runs between hills and plains. The ups and downs are an important feature, but not tiring. The undulating ground, the presence of some lakes and streams and the strategic positioning of bunkers make it a varied and challenging course. It is a very enjoyable course, suitable for all levels of golfers.
Cuneo Golf Club 30 kms
In front of the scenery of the See Alps, only a few minutes away from the city centre of Cuneo, the newly-arranged golf club is situated in a magnificent environment. The Turin Golf Club was founded back in 1957 in the grounds of “La Mandria”, once the hunting estate of the House of Savoy and now a natural park. Within the club grounds there are two different 18-hole courses set in the ancient woods of the park and furrowed by natural streams that create many suggestive views. The course is well designed with fairways and well-protected greens.
Royal Park Golf & Country Club
The original golf course was laid out in 1971 by Robert Trent Jones Sr. The new course has been designed by Michael Hurdzan. Mr. Hurdzan and his firm, Hurdzan & Fry have won innumerable prizes and acknowledgements, and specialize in the creation of golf course with sustainable impact on the environment. This is Mr. hurdzan first European project, and there is no doubt that his international fame will make the Royal Park one of the most advanced golf clubs in Europe.
