Font Romeu
Located in the heart of the Catalan Pyrenees on the Cerdagne Plateau, Font-Romeu offers stunning views over the surrounding mountains into Spain and Andorra. In 1903 there existed only two houses here but by the late 1950's the village had ascended into one of the most popular winter sport stations holding the reputation as the sunniest ski resort in France with a warming 3,000 hours of sunshine every year. There are 6 fully independent villas attached in different ways around the Domaine’s courtyard. Each villa has its own private entrance and sundrenched garden or garden area with a BBQ, garden table and chairs and umbrella, ideal for al fresco dining in the long summer evenings.
Careful attention has been taken to restore and retain original features in each property, from the heavily beamed ceilings to exposed stone walls. Typical examples are a vast ancient Catalan fireplace and a traditional Languedocian oak & terracotta tiled floor.
The interiors throughout are cool and spacious furnished with antique and country furniture with comfortable couches and chairs in a rustic French Manor House style which captures the local colour and ambience. Each living room has French doors opening out onto private gardens which create a light and pleasant atmosphere.
Each villa is fully equipped with a fulll sized oven and hob, extractor hood, dishwasher, microwave, fridge freezer, TV and DVD player. The villas have log burning fires and / or central heating for those cooler evenings.
Over an acre of park provides an oasis of tranquillity, with lush green lawns and mature oaks and plantains. Tucked away in the midst is a petite private chapel underneath which lies a magical grotto with its own fresh spring source.
There is also a large fish pond brimming with goldfish and coy carp . Feeding time is a great favourite with the children , and a wonderful way of using up that leftover French bread !
For your relaxation there is a large swimming pool ( 13 x 6 m ) with Roman end steps, set in an acre of lawns, mature trees and parkland. It is bordered by a century old wall and a small canal over which there are panoramic views down to the river.

The courses are well balanced and alternate subtly the technical holes with those where you can have a breather. Infinitely flat, punctuated here and there by trees and reeds, the 18 holes Links course ‘Etang-Canigou’ par 73 of a total length of 6475 meters is a real golfing challenge and those who believe that the only difficulty of this course is the wind are far from reality. In addition to its length, the greens accessible by pitch and run are strongly raised and a negligible outgrowth prevents the ball to get to its ends obliging the player to execute a small pitch, a key move to score at Saint Cyprien. The 9 holes of the course ‘La Foret’, a par 35 of a length of 2963 meters, are articulated around a wood where the smell of pines, bohemian olive trees, plane trees and eucalyptus will impassion you.

In the south of France, between Carcassonne and Narbonne, you will find our castle where you can stay in luxury (family) suites. ]]>Saint Andrews Golf : A beautifully decorated family villa near Beziers with stunning views and a private pool set on a golf course and only 12 kms from the beaches. Air-conditioning and Wi-Fi.
This lovely family villa is an ideal setting for lovers of the Mediterranean sunshine and golf. The huge glass doors from the open plan living room lead out directly into the garden which looks out on to the golf course. The house is beautifully decorated, and very comfortable with good quality furniture, 2 shady terraces looking on to the pool, and a small 'summer kitchen'. The house is situated in a small modern residential development right in the middle of a golf course, about 5 minutes walk from the Clubhouse and the golf course restaurant.
The property has 2 covered terraces with garden furniture, ideal for alfresco dining and contemplating those long views. Private pool 7m x 3.5m x 1.5m with alarm. Open plan living room with plenty of sofas and a big TV. The house has 3 bedrooms all with TV's; a master downstairs with next door bathroom, and 2 bedrooms with a modern shared shower room upstairs.
Downstairs : Enter through front door down a couple of steps into a large open plan living, dining room and kitchen (appx 65m2). The most striking aspect is the dominant view of the golf course and the lake through the large glass doors leading directly on to the covered terrace. The living room is well and comfortably decorated; plenty of sofas and leather armchairs, a large plasma TV and a working fireplace. The dining room has a table with seating for 6 people. It goes through to the kitchen area with an 'American breakfast bar' and stools and a large American fridge. From the kitchen there is a separate cooking area (almost like a second kitchen) with a microwave, ceramic hob, electric oven, washing machine and tumble dryer, coffee machine, kettle and toaster.
To the right of the entrance door there is a small hallway leading to the downstairs bathroom and the master bedroom. The bathroom has a wash basin, a sunken corner bath with a hand held shower head and a bidet. At the end of the hallway is the master bedroom with a double bed (160m), a TV, bookshelves and a dressing area. There is a pleasant view on to the terrace.
Upstairs : To the left an independent wc, next along the corridor to the right is a bedroom with a double bed in 160 and a balcony, plus small TV and a DVD. Second bedroom has 2 single beds that can be made into a double and a a TV. At the end of the hall there is a small dressing area for clothes storage serving both bedrooms. Opposite the second bedroom there is a modern shower room with a walk-in hydro-massage shower.

With its 18 hole (par 72 - 6130m) set in typically Mediterranean scenery in the still wild garrigues. Designed by Patrice Lammbert, the 18 holes vary a great deal and the golfer is faced with real difficulties. The main impression that one is left with is of a place of peace and quiet due to the beautiful setting surrounded by all the different colours of nature. There are many animals around the course, such as ducks, partridges, hares and rabbits, confirming the impression of a place of natural interest. From a technical point of view, while all your golf clubs are necessary to play the course, a successful round also requires intelligence and a solid game.
