Created in 1989 by the american architect, Robert Van Hagge, has a legendary layout,nestling in a wooded area of 70 hectares. This golf course will seduce even the most demanding of players. In 2010, Sabine, a young lady from Hossegor, bought Catira to bring it back to life and restore its shine and glamour. The river Huchet a narrow current where only some boats can circulate, connecting over eight kilometers, the lake of Léon with the Atlantic Ocean. Winding between the green inland dunes, crossing an ornithological reserve, and maritime forest of pines, swamps, peat bogs, then ending up in the sandy Moliets dunes.

Golf Biarritz Le Phare
It looks like being an easy course, which does not require any important physical efforts, but it’s really not. Its difficulty lies in his technicality and it is not that easy to « score ». 70 bunkers are there to remind us, if necessary is, that golf is, above all, a reflection and shrewdness affair.
Golf Arcangues
The 72 par course, designed by the American architect Ronald Fream, spreading over 198 acres of oak trees and meadows around the village and the Chateau, winds away from the clubhouse to the South before curving to the North around the chateau before reappearing from the East to finish on the 18th just below the Clubhouse terrace.
Chiberta Golf Course Anglet - 6215 yards par 70
Chiberta is one of the great French examples of a links course, designed by the legendary Tom Simpson. This course is one of the most rewarding courses in France, and provides a wonderful day of golf to all who play on it. The original design has been preserved, although the wilder features have been smoothed away by automatic sprinklers and a number of 'improvements' that are not quite as inspired as we might have hoped.
Often tight with a few formidably sloping fairways and small greens, the course demands precision more than length off the tee. The original architect was Harry Colt, but with the variety of styles around the course, we suspect his design might have been altered here and there, perhaps less so on the front 9, which are of a higher standard than the rest of the course.
La Nivelle golf course is approaching its centurion birthday and still remains rated as one of Europe's very best. The course is short, however achieving par is extremely tough and the small greens make it a challenge for even the very best golfer.

There are fantastic walks from our house either with or without a guide and fantastic walks in the mountains.

We can also arrange short trips to Spain for you, Madrid is 5 hours away in a car or 3 hours by plane [door to door]. There is also a tennis club at Saint Pierre d'Irube 5 kms away.

Makila Golf Course
Situated just outside Bayonne, the Makila Golf Club is a course open all year round with 18 holes par 72 over 6176 m. Surrounded by beautiful oak trees and arranged in vast spaces, it offers large fairways and all the holes are different from one another. American architect Rocky Roquemore was able to create a harmonious, stylised structure. The imposing natural, hilly and wooded site allows players of all levels to feel at ease.
Golf Arcangues
The 72 par course, designed by the American architect Ronald Fream, spreading over 198 acres of oak trees and meadows around the village and the Chateau, winds away from the clubhouse to the South before curving to the North around the chateau before reappearing from the East to finish on the 18th just below the Clubhouse terrace.
