Lyn and Gary welcome you to The Cherry Tree Inn, a traditional English country pub. With wooden beams and two open log fires it epitomises the village pub. A warm and friendly atmosphere in the bar and restaurant awaits visitors.
A selection of gardens and a decked area make drinking and dining outside a pleasure.
Ticehurst is in the heart of the south east England countryside and is on the East Sussex and Kent border, just to the south of Bewl Water, the largest inland water mass in the south of England. It is a short drive to the south coast towns of Hastings, Rye and Camber. Royal Tunbridge Wells is to the north. Dale Hill Golf Club neighbours the pub.
We took over in September of 2009 and have hopefully returned the Cherry Tree to an inviting village pub.
At The Cherry Tree we welcome families. Soon we are hoping to develop extra facilities for children, which will include children’s play equipment and a pets corner - yes animals - rabbits, Kune Kune pigs, guinea pigs and other species. We will let you all know when this is completed. Dogs are welcome in the bar area, providing they keep their owners under control.
We have an extensive and varied menu, with childrens portions available and food will be available all day during the summer months. There is accommodation available in the form of three bed and breakfast rooms. A small function room is available for meetings or private dining. We are open all day Tuesday through to Saturday and open until 7pm on Sunday. We are closed on Mondays.

Family Room: A reasonably spacious room with two single beds and a double futon. En suite facilities include a bath with shower. The room has a 32” flat screen TV with freeview and a built in DVD player, a number of DVD’s are supplied. Tea and coffee making facilities are also provided.
Room rates are £75 per night for double occupancy including a full cooked breakfast. A £10 per night surcharge will be added for each additional person staying in the room. Single occupancy rate is £50 per night Sunday to Thursday only.
Double room: A standard double room with one double bed. En suite facilities include a bath with shower. The room has a 22” flat screen TV with freeview and a built in DVD player, a number of DVD’s are supplied. Tea and coffee making facilities are also provided.
Room rates are £70 per night for double occupancy including a full cooked breakfast. Single occupancy rate is £50 per night Sunday to Thursday only.
King Size Room: A large room with a king size bed and double futon. En suite facilities include a bath with shower in a large double bathroom. The room has a 32” flat screen TV with freeview and a built in DVD player, a number of DVD’s are supplied. Tea and coffee making facilities are also provided.

Golf at Dale Hill offers an outstanding 36 holes set with views over in the breathtaking High Weald.
The Dale Hill Course, since opening in 1973, has become one of the southeast's foremost courses. This well-established course, rich in wildlife and mature woodland, is blessed with contrasting scenery. The front nine is parkland, whilst the back nine is heavily wooded, challenging even the more experienced golfers. 18 holes. Par 70. 5856 yards.
The Ian Woosnam Course was Constructed in 1997 to USGA specifications and is a par 72, 6512-yard course demanding and rewarding accuracy off the tee. There are many spectacular challenges throughout the course including the 16th, a tightly wooded hole across a deep, vegetation filled gully requiring an unerring shot up over a rough-filled gully to a tricky green.
