Merton House is a long established family run guest house with high standards of accommodation and service. Spacious double/twin bedded rooms with immaculate en suite facilities. Worthing is situated on the south coast nestled under the South Downs, which gives protection and provides a drier and sunnier environment. Worthing is within easy reach of London, the main airports of Gatwick and Heathrow, and the Channel ports.
Rooms
On the ground floor there are two en-suite bedrooms. One has a double bed, the other has twin beds. These two ground floor rooms are suitable for guests who cannot manage the stairs. There is also a separate dining room.
On the First Floor there are four en-suite bedrooms. Three have double beds and one has twin beds.

Merton House is a short distance from the town centre shops and beach, where we have 5 miles of award winning coastline. It is ideal for promenading, swimming, water sports or just relaxing in a deck chair.
Golf nearby:
With its two 18 hole courses, occupies a commanding position on the slopes of the South Downs both of which are now included in the new South Downs National Park.
The course is an interesting layout with a variety of undulating fairways, subtly-sloped greens and over 100 bunkers. The course provides plenty of challenges and surprises as it undulates through a good balance of long and short holes of which no two are alike.
We have a fantastic 18 hole parkland course, situated in a Private Estate, Angmering, West Sussex. We would like to invite you to enjoy our superb course.
We are the oldest golf club and only links course to be found in West Sussex. The course is a good challenge to any golfer and, due to its nature and excellent drainage, is open all year round.
The course is widely acknowledged as one of the finest downland courses in the region, and, despite being at an altitude of 200 metres, has some of the characteristics of a links course, not least the fast greens and sea breezes.
