Robertsbridge Retreat at Cornhill comprises two luxuriously furnished self catering apartments which have been converted from which was originally an old Corn Mill dating back to the mid 1800s. These are now known as the "Upper Apartment" and the "Lower Apartment" each with their own separate entrance and front door and Parking Bay. There is additional parking just one minute away in the Village Car Park. We accept small, well behaved PETS in the Lower Apartment
The Upper Apartment has two sumptuously furnished bedrooms and sleeps a total of 5/6 people (5 beds + folding beds/travel cots as required, by request). This luxury apartment has been newly decorated and furnished and comprises:

Bedroom one - sleeps 3. King sized bed to sleep 2 which can be unzipped to provide 2 single beds, also an additional single bed set as a day bed with full sized single mattress. Sumptuously furnished with beautiful linens, quality mattresses and luxury topper and gloss finish bedroom furniture.
Bedroom two - sleeps 2. Beautiful contemporary 4 poster king sized bed with a memory foam mattress and luxury soft topper and solid pine bedroom furniture, again with luxury linens

The Lower Apartment is on the Ground Floor and has one stunning bedroom and sleeps 2/4 people (one double bed + folding beds/travel cots as required, by request)

The apartments are located in a tucked away, peaceful location in the centre of the historic Medieval town of Robertsbrige, just one minute walk from the High Street where you can find the most amazing architecture, restaurants, lovely village pubs and the local shops for groceries, as well as banks, a post office, hairdressers, butchers and florist.
Robertsbridge is a gorgeous character village, steeped in history and is perfectly and centrally located to visit all the local areas of outstanding natural beauty, an array of English Heritage and National Trust properties and gardens nearby and only 20 minutes from the fabulous dunes of Camber sands and coastal towns like Hastings, ideal for the children. Bodiam Castle is just 10 minutes, Great Dixter 10 minutes and the spa town of Tunbridge Wells just 20 minutes. Bodiam, Rye, Tenterden, Northiam and Battle are all within 20 minutes, as are many listed cycling and country walks and nature trails.

Only £10 to use the Health Suite and £50 for a 70 minutes personally designed relaxing massage with their masseuse Jo.

The Dale Hill Course, since opening in 1973, has become one of the southeast's foremost courses. Beauport Park Golf Club – 10 minutes
Situated between the towns of Hastings and Battle, this 18-hole 6,325-yard parkland course is a 'must visit' on your trip to Sussex. The course is fairly traditional and is mapped out in two halves. The front nine is a true test of golf for all levels of player, with the majority of holes requiring careful positional play from the tee.
Battle Golf Club - 15 minutes
Battle Golf Club is situated in the heart of "1066 Country" just two miles from the historic town of Battle, infamous for the site of the "Battle of Hastings" in East Sussex. The course is well maintained offering relaxed yet challenging golf and stands in an elevated position in an area of outstanding natural beauty.
Rye Golf Club - 15 minutes
Harry Colt’s first design in 1894, later modified by Tom Simpson and Sir Guy Campbell, Rye is a fiendishly difficult course. The unpredictable and fierce winds and a fascinating variety of stances necessary for shot-making create difficulty, despite a par of 68 over 6,300 yards.
Weald of Kent Golf Club - 25 minutes
Since opening in 1991 the course has matured into an interesting parkland retreat, with a growing reputation for fast, true greens. With a variety of man made and natural lakes and hazards the Weald of Kentvis a challenge to golfers of all abilities. The well maintained, generous fairways are forgiving enough for the novice to enjoy a round but the slick putting surfaces and strategically positioned bunkers and water features will test even the most competent of players.

Woodside is a rural retreat, located near the tiny village of Cripps Corner, in the picturesque High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, in the heart of the countryside of East Sussex, bordering Kent. It is perfectly located just 10-25 minutes from the tourist orientated towns of Battle, Robertsbridge, Rye, Bodiam, Tenterden, Goudhurst and Tunbridge Wells and only 15 minutes from the seaside resorts of Hastings and Camber sands. The area is steeped in history and boasts an array of historic castle, houses, gardens and places of interest. The Medieval village of Robertsbridge itself is just a short 8 minute drive.
Our Goal is to make you feel thoroughly pampered and spoilt. Our two luxury suites are almost decadent in their attention to detail and with the Health Suite and Beauty Treatments on offer you can be sure that you will leave a lot more relaxed than when you arrived. Our meals whether breakfast or evening meal are all freshly made using local ingredients where possible and our gardens and woods mean that you can enjoy a stroll without even leaving the property. Finally, you can relax in our cinema room and watch your favourites on the big screen! There are many wonderful tourist attractions in this area including the historic towns of Rye, Battle and Hastings.
We provide trays of goodies in the rooms including; mineral water, biscuits, chocolates, flowers and a luxury toiletries basket. We are licensed and so the rooms also contain minibars with an assortment of drinks. We also provide fluffy robes as well as soft bath sheets and high quality bedding with a choice of pillows including Duck Down, Hypo Allergenic, Hollow Fibre, Memory Foam and even Anti-Snore!
We have a sweet little restaurant for our B&B guests to partake of our delicious home cooked breakfasts. We can also deliver breakfasts to our 'Glamping' guests at their Tipis or the Yurt.
We also offer many special menus for special occasions like birthday parties, weddings, Valentines Day, Christmas, and corporate events so please talk to us about any special needs you may have. We can cater for up to 50 guests at any one time.
At Woodside we are all lovers of good food and thoroughly enjoy cooking on our Heritage Range.
Breakfast is a feast - we offer a comprehensive selection of fresh produce (local, home made or home grown, where possible) to keep you sustained throughout the day. Eggs are free range from our duck and chickens. (Our own eggs do not have the Lion mark, if you prefer you may have shop purchased, Lion marked eggs.)
Take your breakfast in the Guests' Dining Room, where you can read a paper or hop onto the internet to check your emails and plan your day, or on the large patio if the weather is kind! Chose to eat either on your own or with other guests. Served at 8am for those wishing to make full use of the day and as 9am for those that wish to have a lie in or make early use of the facilities. If you are residing in the Gothic
Suite and fancy having breakfast before you dress, then you can take it leisurely in your room.
We are more than happy to provide Dinner, lunch and afternoon cream teas. Do take a look at our sample A La Carte and Seasonal menus. We also hold an alcohol licence so we can serve you with competitively priced aperitifs, wines, sparkling wines, champagne, liquors and cocktails.
There are many lovely high quality eateries nearby. In walking distance (5 minutes) is the newly refurbished White Hart local Pub; the host and hostess are charming people who offer a wide menu selection of tasty food, at excellent prices, in a lovely ambiance, together with Real Ale and good wine
We offer our guests the use of a Health Suite which contains an Infrared Sauna, a hot tub spa, a multi-gym and a multi jet shower. Taken in conjunction with our Beauty Treatments and Massage this provides a relaxing and luxurious range of facilities available for our guests. Our whole ethos is dedicated to providing the very best pampering experiences for our guests.
Massage
We are very lucky to be able to offer a massage by Jo. Jo has had over 20 years experience in health and fitness. Her studies started out with an Honours Degree in Creative Arts and a Post-graduate in Teaching. She became involved in the 'Fitness Industry' due to her love of sports, being a keen multi-sporter and triathlete. Over the years she has taken a number of diplomas and certificates such as Sports Massage Therapy and Rehabilitation (Dip.Honours), Mind/Body Awareness Teacher (incorporating Pilates & Yoga. Thai Yoga Massage (Certified) as well as on going courses in various modalities.
Cinema
There is Sky multiroom so guests can view what they wish and also a DVD with a selction of films, WII with WII Sports, WII Fit, Golf and other games and a Playstation with a variety of games, all set up through the 9ft screen for your maximum entertainment and enjoyment.
In the Guest Lounge you will find complimentary tea and coffee making facilites and mini fridges containing a selection of alcoholic drinks, and non alcoholic juices, sodas and snacks for purchase.
Many other games are also provided, including a selection of board games, chess, cards, darts etc.
Garden
We have 5 acres of land at Woodside so that there is plenty of room to wander around the gardens and make friends with our sheep. There are also some woods and a stream to explore.
GLAMPING
If you are looking for something completely different then why not try our 'Glamping' breaks. This is like a really luxurious form of camping but in a Tipi or Yurt. You have hard floors, proper beds ( 4ft 6" plus one double or two single futons.) - even electricity. However, you are still 'under canvas' in the Tipi and can enjoy all the fun without any of the discomfort often associated with camping.
This can also be great for groups where some can sleep out and the others can stay in the B&B.
We are now extending our 'Glamping' season until 2nd December and from October bookings will include electric blankets and 15 tog duvets with matching colour coded linen in the price.
Acitivities
Woodside is ideally placed to explore Sussex especially East Sussex!
We are located in the centre of a triangle between the historic towns of Rye, Battle and Hastings so that visiting the many attractions in the area should not prove to be any sort of problem! If you like to spend your days exploring the towns then there are plenty to see. Likewise there are many historic castles and gardens in this area. However, if you prefer to sit on the beach or play golf then we are extremely well situated for both activities and can provide much information to assist you in planning your holiday.
